I would say to 1st check for any blown fuses.

Chance are, there's only one that powers all the listed non-functioning lights.

Hope this helps.

Rear brake lights not working on 1998 Chevy Lumina

Well usually when the third brake light works and the others don't, the problem is in the turn signal switch. The center brake light is separate from the other two as far as circuits go.
The thing that puzzles me is the cruise. It could be something else, because the only way a faulty brake light switch would kill the cruise control is if the switch was stuck on.
I think I would check the circuits in and out of the turn signal switch.

Check to see if your brake lights work. If they don't you have a popped brake light fuse or bad brake light sensor.

What makes theABS light come on and go off in my 2002 GMC safari?

its letting you know that something is wrong in the brake system, it could just need fluid, check that first , if that doesn't correct the light coming on, have the brakes checked by a shop

Our 1998 gm safari said check gauge and the engine won't start,We thought it was the gas so I went to the gas station and got gas. I was wondering what does that mean?

check gauges means that the car senses something is not working properly, such as temp gauge reading to hot ,or oil pressure reading to low ,fuel to low, its to get your attention that something is wrong .

Did you go off road in the mud or woods? If so the connecting plug where all the connect probably has gotten disconnected.I think it is near or between the fuel tank and rear bumper.
