There is no drain you just take the bottom pan off and then let the fluid drain into a pan.

How to drain and fill transmission fluid in chevy malibu 2012??

mostly to drain transmission oil it is necessary to remove the pan. At 72000miles I suggest that you have an accredited transmission shop do the job as it will be due for a band and clutch pack adjustment and filter clean and general service and this can all be done while the pan is off.

How does one check transmission oil in 2005 chevy malibu maxx

You don't yourself. The lube change shop or garage can do this (requires special tools or removal of the pan). for a 2005 you're likely in need of a flush. some models can have a dipstick installed, but its not necessary. Unless you have a serious leak of fluid or shifting issues, it's rare to lose fluid. If you are having issues, then start with a flush and inspection BY A REPUTABLE GARAGE. do not use a dealer or transmission shop, they will always find ways to seprate you from your $$$

I can't figure out where to put power steering fluid in my 2004 chevrolet malibu

the 2004 malibu does not have a place to put transmission fluid it has a electric power steering system and does not use fluid, if you are having a problem with the power steering light chimming and lighting up this is under a recall that chevy has obligated to fix. So if your car is doing this take it to your local chevy dealership and have them to repair it for you. Hope this helps.

Where is the dip stick to check the transmision fluid how do you check the transmision fluid?

2005 Chevy Malibu has a sealed transmission with no dipstick, so you can't check the transmission fluid level without getting underneath the car and looking at the transmission itself.

Locate the transmission. Look for a small plug with a hex bolt on the passenger side of the transmission, adjacent to the passenger side front tire.

Start the engine and let it warm up to regular operating temperature. Remove the hex bolt from the plug hole in the side of the transmission with a wrench or socket. If transmission fluid flows freely from the hole, the fluid level is correct. If it barely drips, or no fluid comes out, the transmission fluid level is low.

How do you service the transmission for fluid?! thank you

in order to change the fluid it's best to take it to a quick lube place like pep boys or grease monkey. you can drop the transmission pan and change the filter and replace the fluid that is lost, however there will still be old fluid left in the torque converter. now if you have a manual transmission it is a sealed unit and has not torque convertter or a filter but has a drain plug on the bottom and a fill plug on the side of the case. at a lube shop they hook up lines to the transmission lines and cycle out all the old fluid and replace it completely this is your best bet the whole job includes new fluid, filter, and labor it cost about 80 dollars

I can't find the transmission fluid dipstick on my car.....

there is no dipstick, this is a sealed transmission, GM did this to stop owners from overfilling the trans, the fluid level must be checked by the dealer with a scan tool.
