2003 Mercury Optimax 225 hp. BEEPING than constant buzz behind gauges after starting and running from winter layup. Put all fuel additive and topped oil injection reservoir.

sounds like a relay or other electrical device is noisy , only way to find out is to strip out instrument panel and try to locate the 'noisey' item, a good place to start is the fuel gauge as they have a resistor build in and they can cause a buzzing when the are getting worn out , fault finding at it's best , good luck and take your time and be patient and keep me posted if you wish

My speedometer and rpm gauges keep going on and off in my 2001 Oldsmobile aurora What could be the problem

Gauges need a steady constant voltage, not affected by alternator variation so a voltage stabilizer is used to keep the voltage constant, possible intermittent fault (bad connection) to the stabilizer, generally located on the back of the clock panel. Are the fuel and engine temp gauges affected as well?

I have installed a trans, boost, exhaust gauges and wanting to hook up to headlight switch to utilize dimming feature of the gauges. I need a constant hot, hot when lights are turned, and dimmer...

Use a 12 Volt test light and determine which wire from your headlight switch is hot when the lights are turned on and which wire goes to your instrument panel lights. When you are probing for the panel lights you can operate the dimmer to make sure the test light dims and you have the correct wire.
If you locate and hook into these two wires your gauges will operate as you desire.

1991 oldsmobile cutlass supreme drivers side window keeps coming out of track, how do I fix

Hi,
generally the door panel has to come off. With the panel removed you can see the tracks. There is an adjustment for each track, and you can observe the action of the window in the track as you operate the window. slacken both track adjustment bolts if fitted, operate the window untill fully up, tighten each adj bolt and operate the window through the cycle. Make any further adjustments as needed. When correct install the door panel, and recheck the operation of the window.

Good luck.

Temp.gauge not working and the fan runs constant with poor fuel economy.

The most likely cause is due to the radiator fan constantly running and the engine not getting to operating temperature, thats why your temp gauge isnt going up, check all related wiring to the cooling fan and make sure there no bare wires that could be causing a short to ground causing the fan to constantly run, secondly check the fan relay, if all of that checks out check the coolant temperature sensor because the information from that sensor tells the computer when to turn the fan on and off, if the sensor is bad it could be telling the computer the engine is hot when in fact its not.

Have the speed sensor checked, that's mounted on the side of the tranny, that operates the speedometer. As far as the fuel gauge, probably the fuel sending unit is shot which is in the gas tank.
