. You stated could be a logic board inside the motor assembly. I have a 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan. wipers do not work. Motor is only 4 months old. Could this still be an issue? estimate of cost?

No logic board inside the wiper motor . The wiper's have two relays that control them by way of the BCM - body control module . Wiper on relay and wiper high low relay . Both are located in the power distribution center in the engine bay . The wiper / washer switch is a input to the BCM . Check the relay's or swap them out for new one's . Or check out videos on youtube on testing relays . If not the relays could be the switch , wiring or the BCM . Having the BCM check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes would be a good idea .
Do you know what a wiring diagram is . Free here Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size. Under system click on body & accessories then under the subsystems click wipers/washer's .View the diagram to see what all is involved in making the wipers work.

The wiper switch is a input to the front electronic control module . The relays are also controlled by the electronic control module . Probably has code set in the module . Need a diagram for a windshield wiper motor for 1997 firebird

I have a 97 Firebird that has this issue. Sometimes when the wipers are used (number of passes makes no difference) they stop in the non-parked position. I've studied the schematic and will remove my motor one weekend and check the park relay soldering and contacts if it has a removable cover. I suspect that when the wiper switch is turned off the park relay is failing to allow the wipers to park.

I have a 1999 explorer sport that the rear wiper does not work. I have already replaced the wiper assembly, checked the fuse under the hood, switched the wiper relay with another known to be good and tested...

Before replacing GEM modules test the electrical circuits ,don't guess . And if you don't know how to test your best bet take it to a qualified repair shop . These modules are capable of setting DTC'S diagnostic trouble codes , need an advanced type scan tool . Not a code reader . How did your test the switch ? Low voltage input to the gem . Plus there are two relays for the rear wipers . Did you pull the relays an test (with a voltmeter ) for B+ voltage on the control side and load side of the relay ? Is the GEM energizing the relay .
You people crack me up ,you have no clue .

switched the wiper relay with another known to be good and tested the wiper switch all are good,
Electric Testing Techniques You Need to Know
