Its Possible that Enough Inercia Could Dislodge Or even Break A Small Part in Transmission,,

If you are Sure That NO Harness Plugs Leading to Trans Have Not been Damaged, It Mat Need the Pan Pulled ans Valve Body Inspected. The Filted Is Made Of Plastic it May have Broken.

Yes..
The Modulator tells it when to shift and is controled by vacuum presure..
Check all vacuum lines stemming from the trani..

Hope this helps !!

Did you check the differential?? Check for metal pieces or shavings, I had the front and back differential go on my escape, it ran about $1700 to fix a few years ago... that was the cheapest.. trans. guys usually don't touch the differentials, you will have to find a shop that has a person with knowledge and experience with that.

Dog bone location 2005 grand am gt

Depending on the engine, some have a mount on top of the radiator.
Its called a dog bone because it is a metal strip with a rubber piece in each end, like a bone. One end bolts to the radiator support, the other bolts to a bracket on top of the engine.
If it has one, you set the brake, put the trans in neutral, unbolt one end and pull the engine forward. Some mounts have a secondary hole to put the bolt in to hold the engine forward.
You can look up "motor mounts - struts" at the online auto parts stores for photos.

2000 gmc sonoma with a 4 cylinder....the motor will turn over but it doesnt seem to be getting fire...i dont think its a head gasket...no water mixed with the oil...answers?...suggestions?

You need to make sure you have fuel, spark and compression.
Remove one of the plug wires, stick a screwdriver (or other suitable item into the end of the wire. Then hold the exposed metal of the screwdriver about 1/2 and inch from some metal (engine block, intake manifold, etc). Be sure to keep clear of the fan/belts and wear gloves (as you could be shocked). Have a helper crank the engine and watch to see a spark between the screwdriver and the metal on the engine.
Check the fuel pressure to make sure you are getting fuel.
Check the compression with a gauge.

By completing these test you will know which route you need to look into.

Polo keep putting water in it

Dear d stewart21,

If your talking about adding water to your radiator then you may
1) Have the wrong mix of water to antifreeze
2) Have a cooling system leak
3) Have a faulty thermostat on the engine block

For cooling system leaks I always add "Bars Leak" to the coolant system first since it's cheap and inexpensive and will seal small leaks....NOTE: Always read the instructions carefully and follow to the "T" !

If this doesn't help ...please get back to me and give a more detailed description of your problem!

Hope This Will FixYa!
