Question about Cars & Trucks
I replaced the broken lhf brake hose and caliper, master cylinder, the thing in the engine bay that the brake lines from m.c connect to also replaced the lhf swing arm. But I still have the same problem only its not as bad as it was. Now i can drive it a lot further before she starts to really struggle as if the front brakes are stuck on again. But then she comes good again.??? She free rolls good now (compared to before I fixed the brake problems) until it slows to a very very slow crawl but right at the end just before its goin to come to a rolling stop. It stops short as if I pressed the brakes on (except for when She's been sitting for a while she'll free roll and run beuitfully for like the first 10-15 mins) But when I'm driving on the freeway she gets pretty bad to a point that I've got the gas pedal almost to the floor and I'm struggling to get to 80 kms. if I was to try coasting she wants to just stop and then comes good again. Could someone please help?

But this actually feels more like somethings about to give in the front part of the drive train. she drives fine but then gradually it will start to feel like a bearing seizing up or worst yet could be something worn in the trans, transfer case or front diff. That being said after I read ur comment I started to think about it and realized that when it plays up while driving at around 100km's (its not about speed I was just doin 100km's on the freeway on this occasion. More often than not it will do it when I take off from stand still position.) that could be the cat playing up. But I won't know till I get it checked. Cause the problems I had in the past with cat converter cracking inside or getting blocked happened on small 4 cyl cars. This being a large 4wd with a v8 u could still be right. I'm only guessing but would the power loss on a v8 be a little more violent compared to a 4 cyl? If so then I have two issues. the other thing is in the morning or after it sits for a while when I get in the car she drives fine if I put it in neutral on a straight road she rolls without any resistance and will roll to a stop very smoothly without applying the brakes. But by the time I get home it feels like the brake caliper on the left front brake is getting stuck on a little it was much worse before I changed the caliper it used to feel like I'm driving with my other foot ******* the brakes. But by the time I get back and let it roll to a stop in neutral it doesn't roll smoothly and I can feel a little resistance when it drops under 5 km's and then just stops without applying the brakes. Doesn't roll smoothly to a stop."
