The Fans are simply cooling fans. The fan closest to engine is coolant temp. controlled (intermitant). The other fan should run only when the air conditioner is on (both fans run continuous)

the fan or fans can be controls in stages, and with this magic software can even change the rules with A/C on, and does.
if there are symptoms , post them. ask for TESTS.
avoid Gue$$ing

ill quote the FSM now to prove my case.
ECT Sensor Strategy The ECT Sensor provides a linear input signal to the Engine Control Module (ECM) for a number of engine control system calculations. The ECT signal is compared with Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP), Mass Air Flow (MAF), Intake Air Temperature (IAT), and Fuel Trim (HO2S) in order to determine the correct air-fuel mixture for measured operating conditions. In some cases the ECT Sensor input is used in concert with the A/C Pressure (ACP) Sensor input in order to determine cooling fan and A/C system operation.
end quote.

Try these easy things...take off clean and reconnect the battery cables, take to Auto Zone for a FREE computer hook up. More than likely if the battery hook up doesn't work it's the oxygen sensor.

Suzuki grand vitara 2000 model the engine light blinks

Take your rig.. drive it to a gas station.. fill the tank up with gas.. also fill 2 jugs of gasoline at the same time... put the jugs in the back of it.. now drive as far as you can until the rig runs out of gas.. then, take the two jugs of gas.. pour it all over the rig, inside and out.. now light it a-blaze, then walk to your nearest car dealer and buy a new car..
