How many quarts of transmission fluid does it hold my poniac bonneville 1993

If you drop the pan and change the filter you should have 5-6 quarts on hand. With the car on a level surface add four quarts. Start the engine and with your foot on the brake run the transmission through all the gears for a couple of second in each gear. Put the transmission back in park and check the level. Continue to add 1/2 quart at a time until the fluid level is somewhere between the cold and hot marks. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you for using FixYa.com!

Can you tell me the torque spec.on head bolts for a 1985 ltd 3.8 thank you

Six IN LINE - 6L

zjlimited_510.jpg

Fig.: Cylinder head torque sequence - 6 -cylinder engine

Cylinder head torquing should proceed in three steps and in the prescribed order. Tighten them first to 50-55 ft. lbs. (65-71 Nm), then give them a second tightening to 60-65 ft. lbs. (78-84 Nm). The final step is to 70-75 ft. lbs. (91-97 Nm), at which they should remain undisturbed.

Six IN V - 6V

Fig.: Cylinder head bolt torque sequence - 6 -cylinder engine

Tighten the head, according to the illustrated sequence in three progressive steps. Tighten the bolts to 50-55 ft. lbs. (68-74 Nm), then 60-65 ft. lbs. (81-88 Nm) and finally to 75 ft. lbs. (102 Nm).

Hope this helps (remember to rate and commene this answer).

A code P0125 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
The simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back.
If the code comes back, the problem is likely going to be the result of the above causes (faulty thermostat, faulty ECT sensor, or a low coolant level) theres your answer need more help just tell me

First, when driving the cars engine races up to bout 5000rpm and wont shift to second. second when i put in reverse and accelerate the car dies out. please help me. thank you.

No good news here. You need to have the transmission checked. This could be just low fluid level but if the fluid is good you have a transmission problem and will need to be repaired. It could be something as simple as a fluid and filter change. Just don't let them back flush the system with the synthetic machine. It cost $50 to $60 for a regular Fluid and Filter change at a shop. Typically they charge $140 or more to use the machine and you usually end up rebuilding the transmission within 6 months of them doing that.

My antifreeze is leaking and its freezin cold?

first find the leak and repair it. second, make sure it does not overheat again or you may also need a thermostat. Your heater will not work when coolant level drops below a certain level. since it's leaking, likely that level has been reached. After repair has been made, re-fill with 50/50 antifreeze mix, with the engine running and heater on full heat to allow air in system to escape. If while filling it begins to overheat and keeps spitting out coolant, replace the thermostat.
