SOURCE: engine becomes hot.

Very hot is a relative term. The engine is supposed to run around 200 degrees which is very hot in some ways.
What does the gauge on the dash say, and is the radiator fan coming on when the gauge is in the middle ?

I got a light coming on for catalytic converter. how will it affect my engine?

The only way it could affect your engine is if it becomes plugged, not allowing exhaust gases to pass through it on the way to the tailpipe. It merely gets hot enough (600 degrees) to burn any unburned hydrocarbons, if it is failing it is not getting hot enough to 'light off' to do it's job, or it is getting too hot (glowing red?)-this means your engine is misfiring badly and you need to fix it before it becomes catastrophic.

Sometimes car will get hot. radiator will b dry. other times its fine

Check ur radiator cap! Mostly when the engines become hot, coolant goes thru the coolant reservoir and comes back to the radiator when it cools down. Damage radiator caplet the coolant goes thru the reservoir but can't siphon back the coolant to radiator , thus always overflows the reservoir and the radiator dries out from its coolant! Check also if there is LEAKS in the bypass hoses and CAP PLUGS! Hope that might help u out!

92 pickup 22Re engine, runs great when cold but after heating up engine stalls and with no acelleration, and hesitation. After cooling off runs fine

Almost certainly a faulty cam sensor. This sensor suffers over time with the repetitive effect of getting hot and then cold along with the engine. The cam sensor determines when cylinder 1 is at compression TDC and this timing dictates the fuel injection cycle on the engine. If the cam sensor fails to report signals then the ECU fails to inject fuel appropriately and the engine stalls. Many times as the cam sensor gets hot it expands and any discontinuity becomes apparent. As soon as it cools down the cam becomes functional again.

I have bmw 318ci and the hot air is not working, the heater is blowing and set to max heat but only blowing cold air, i have checked the fuse box, any ideas??

The heater operates from the hot water from the engine cooling system flowing through the heater radiator which is inside the air ducts under the dash. I suspect that the control wire/cable that goes from the heater control lever has broken or become disconnected from the heater tap that controls the volume of hot water through the heater radiator. Some times there is also a flap in the air ducts that is operated by the heater lever tha varies the amount of air that is heated. The tap may be in the engine bay or tucked in behind the air ducting.

The engine become hot very soon

suspect head gasket, check rad is hot all over and check thermostat, more likely a head gasket. remove rad and if water is jumping out thats your prob, becareful if opening hot as if gasket gone there will be a lot of pressure and it will scald you.
