Check to see if the valve lifters are not making the noise. Turn on the engine and rev it up to about 1500 rpms and see if the clicking is coming from the valve cover area.

Yeah thats what they meant, just don't idle it too high. If the problem don't go away, read it with an OBDII scanner. That will give you what the problem is.

check all spark plugs and wires also check mass air flow senser located on intake tube if all is still in good working condition check the throttle position sensor if that is good then it may be your fuel pump please update when possable.
