When I insert the key into the ignition it wont turn (seems stuck). wondering what i need to do to solve this problem

Hello, you'll need a new ignition switch. You much have a lot of stuff hand off your key chain, yes or no. The more stuff hanging on the key chain more weight is inserted on the locking pins and spring in the tumbler of the ignition lock. It will finally get were one can start their vehicle.

If you can still start this Chrylser then remove all the keys and stuff that not necessary. Maybe, ignition key, trunk key, house key, gas key and post office key. The rest of the stuff put on another key chain. No more than 5 or 6 keys and no junk; such as, flash light, rabbit foot, charms, thing-a-gig, whata-you-call-it, a do-hicky, the knife that never been open, pepper spray. and whay ever else is hanging on the key chain. Can not turn 09 chevy cobalt off. Key will not turn to the left. Also difficult to remove key.

Do you have alot of weight hanging on your key chain? Your ignition tumblers are worn out. Replace the tumblers and it should fix it.

3.8L V6 engine will turn over run 2 sec. shut down. replaced map, fuel inj., o rings, fuel pump, press. reg.,

There's no use guessing anymore, have a quailfied independent repair shop diagnose and fix it. Stay away from chain stores. The money you have already spent guessing would have it fixed by now. Ck the ASD and Fuel pump relays, and go from there. Is there any tropuble codes in the ecm? On some of these you can turn the ign key on-off 3 times and read codes from the ck eng light.

1997 mercury mountainer locked keys inside, need key code or where to find it.

key code is in owner manual packet on plastic or metal tag. your delaer can get it with VIN number and ID & registration proving you are owner of vehicle.

Possibly, you can take long thin screwdriver and slide it under outside door handle slot (lift handle) and move it around until you see inside lock move. then try to move lock/unlock rod.

Need key code

it should be on a metal tag or plastic card with your owner manual packet.
Or, your selling delaer will have it.

Or, take your 17 digit VIN # and registration and ID to a dealer and they can request the code from Ford. Usually parts department does this.

Volvo S60 sensor ?

Sounds like an oxygen sensor (there are two). I had a recent problem where I had a rough idle and my S60 continued to stall out. Turned out to be the rear oxygen sensor. After replacement, car idles nicely and car drives normally.

According to the owner's manual, the vehicle came with a "key number tag." If you have the tag, or the number off the tag, you should be able to purchase a replacement key from a dealer or locksmith.

Before you go replacing the ignition (and the previous poster didn't mention it, but what about the door locks?) I would check your owner's manual. The original owner may have written the key code in the book!

Also, look around the car. Maybe the tag is stuck in the glovebox!

Do you have any of the papers you received when you bough tthe car (even if used)? Maybe the code is written on something?

Good luck!
