Internal heater in transit turneo blowing cold air only

I have checked water flow, if I turn the controls manually by removing the control unit I get hot air. what component goes as I have now determined it is either the motor controlunit on the dash or the motor control box mounted on the heater

I have almost the same problem, in this case the power windows, power seats and loock those are not working
I was looking for the fuse but i didn't found it.

The heater is controlled by that valve - you don't get heat because that valve isn't opened. Take the control cable out of it and try to open the valve.
If it opens and the water flows freely then the problem is in the dash controls unit - more precisely in the rotary temp button (where that cable goes).
If you can't open it then it's clogged and must be replaced.

Heater is blowing cold air


there are 2 heater hoses going to the heater core one has a tap or valve to regulate the water flow, this may be jammed closed or the control cable has come off. also check the thermostat if the engine is running cold.

Air conditioning only blows cold air.


Can you hear the blend door moving when you change the temp from cold to hot or vice versa? If not, then you need new blend door actuator. Also check the heater core for any blockage. (2 ways to tell....run the car til normal temp, and turn on the heat and feel the hoses by the firewall...if one is hotter than other, there is a blockage inside the heater core. Or disconnect both hoses at firewall, and put garden hose in one of those 2 open tubes and turn on the water...good flow or weak flow coming out of heater core tube? Weak flow means blockage) If there is a blockage, time to get new one.

I have just purchased a 2008 ford transit 330. It is a nice van except the heater only blows out cold air. I have checked the thermostat with a kettle of boiling water it opens and closes fine. So I'm


check the control module that opens the heater hoses tap. Check for air blockage in the cooling system that will not allow the coolant to circulate around the heater. Loose the highest hose and run until only coolant comes out . Refill the radiator.

Heater blowing cold air


There are only 2 reasons for a problem like yours. Either the water is not going through the heater core or the ductwork under the dash has a problem. For checking the water flow, warm the truck up and then feel both water hoses connected to the heater core. They should both be hot if the water is flowing. If they are both as warm, then the problem is inside the cabin under the dash. If they are not equally warm, there is a problem with water flow.

Tip- For a time the manual heat control models(Not electronic) used a heater knob which could break on the backside of the knob. When it does this, the heater control shaft will not turn as the knob is just spinning in place. Gently pry the knob off and then twist the control shaft to see if it will now work.

Why my air condition blow cold air even when its not on


It blows cold air with the mode selector in what position. If it is on defrost and you have the temp adjusted to full heat than the a/c will be on to dry the air before it hits the windshield, this helps to remove the fog from the windows. If there is no heat coming out the vents than you need to check to make sure the blend door is working. You should hear a distinctly different sound out the vents when you turn the heat from full cold to full hot. Also check to see if the heater core is plugged. With the engine warm you should be able to feel little difference in the temp of the two hoses that go to the heater core. If one is hot and one is cool than there is a flow issue. Either the water control valve is bad, it is not being opened by the HVAC control head, the is a vacuum leak to the control valve or the heater core is plugged. Your vehicle may or may not have a valve that controls the flow of hot water to the heater core.

Heater is very poor


Has the vehicle been run with anti-freeze its whole life? If not, then flush heater matrix.

With vehicle in cold state, disconnect heater matrix feed and return pipes from within engin bay. Turn the vehicle's internal temperature setting to hot. If the vehicle is fitted with climate control, then do this with the ignition in the 'on' position.

Take a garden hose and with low pressure first, try flushing the matrix. If the water pressure is not enough to flow through matrix at low to medium pressure, then a blockage is almost a certainty. If water does not flow at first, then try using a high pressure air-line to force air and any blockage material through the matrix and out of the exit pipe. You can also reverse the flow to blow or flush any dirt out of the other end.

Once all is clean and free flowing, reconnect and fill entire system with a 50-50 anti freeze-water solution.

If blockage cannot be resolved, then replace heater matrix.

If no blockage is present then continue to check heater control switches and wires.

2000 s-type heater only blows cold air. Pulled the heater control valve. How do I tell if its good or bad?


If it is a vacuum controlled unit, you will need one of the small vacuum hand pumps to hook to the valve and watch the internal baffle plate move with change in vacuum level. There may be a local parts dealer that will let you borrow one for the test (and sell you a new part if needed). If the valve seems to work ok, then check the engine area looking for a loose or damaged vacuum hose. Lastly, the temperature control panel may be defective. Check the hose going to the valve for damage. Make sure the heater hoses going to the core are very hot when the engine is warmed up. If they remain cold, something is blocking water flow through them.

If the heater core isn't leaking it doesn't likely need changing. It sounds like you could have a problem with the heater control valve - a valve in one of the heater hoses that controls flow through the hose. If you smell coolant and see moisture on your windshield (inside) or have coolant leaking onto the floor - you might need the heater core replaced.

Cannot shut off heat


probably the heater control valve in the engine compartment usually mounted to one of the heater hose , the valve is broken internally and allowing hot water to constantly flow into the heater core, i would first check this valve by replacing it or by-passing it.
