My 03 POS Malibu has had $4,000 in repairs the last few years. Now it won't start after driving! Have to wait an hour or so.

Are there any lights on the dash when this happens? Look for a light that says security or antitheft. If you see this, go to this link. That would explain the symptoms

Something is draining the battery

What you do is pull off the pos cable. Touch it to the ground cable for a couple of seconds to discharge any voltage that may be lingering in the cars circuits. (Leave ground wire hooked to battery. Only the Positve should be unhooked) Now hook your meter between the Pos Cable and the Pos of the battery. It should show anywhere from between 0-2 volts. maybe more if you have a alarm system. If it shows anymore then 3-4 volts you have a parasitic draw. Best way to Isolate this is to start pulling fuses one by one until the meter jumps down to zero. Then plug other fuses back in. If meter dos not go back up. you have isolated the circuit that is draining the battery

My jeep wont start. i turn the key no crank, full battery. any ideas. tried to jump it nothing.diconected and reconeccted the batery still nothing. car was starting perfect no problem. Checked the shifter...

Just, Because you removed the battery connections and reinstalled them
will not repair a bad battery conection. Sounds like you have a bad conection at the battery. You'll need to remove the battery ends and clean
them with, a wire brush or a battery cleaning tool. Always, remove the NEG
conection FIRST,then the POS. After cleaning install the POS FIRST,Then
the NEG. Also, I believe there is a small conector on one of the cables.
Be sure to clean that conection also.
You, did not say if the lights are working.

Battery cables FRYED!

Battery cables can be purchased at any auto parts store. Always remove the Negative cable first. The positive cable connects to the solenoid to the starter. After removing both cables, connect the positive cable to eh solenoid to the starter, and route it up to the battery. If the new battery has protective caps on it, leave them on for now. Connect the negative cable to the ground. Connect the positive cable to the battery (remove the caps) Once secure, connect the negative cable to the battery (be very careful not to touch anything metal) IMPORTANT: Make sure the Positve cable is connected tot eh Positeve battery terminal (indicated by the + sign. The Negative cable connects to teh Negative post indicated by the - sign. I hope this answers your question fully and best of luck to you!
