SOURCE: need instuctions to change tail/break lights on 07 dodge caliber

popohead, if people thought it was easy, they wouldn't be here asking. Your reply is useless.

To remove the pins, look a them closely. Notice that there's two little notches cut into the cup that holds the pin. Use a flathead on each side to leveredge them out a little. If that doesn't work at all, you can use a pair of pliers to firmly grip the head of the pin and pull straight out. Quick firm pull.

Once the first pin comes out, the second pin should easily come out. At that point, firmly grip your taillight housing, and pull straight back: Don't try to wiggle it out, and don't try to lift it to one side or the other like a trunk or door. Just pull it firmly straight back like you would a dresser drawer.

Once it's out, the little wiring harnesses come out of the taillight housing with about a 1/4 turn, and the bulbs just slide straight out of those.

Good luck!

Car wont start

What is your symptoms? No crank its starter related, crank but you don't hear buzzing sound from fuel pump its fuel pump failure, turn engine and have someone listen by fuel door if hard to hear. If it cranks, you hear fuel pump, check your battery. If not battery, check for engine codes.

sounds like a bad fuel pump. open the gas cap and listen when you turn the key to the on position, not all the way to engage the starter, you should hear a buzzing for 5 or so secands that is the fuel pump in your gas tank. if you dont hear that buzzing the intank fuel pump is probley not working.

2007 dodge caliber will not start. engine turns, but no crank. will not start with cable jump

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. When you have a vehicle that will not start, there could be many possible reasons that it don't. You should always check your fuses and wires to the battery first. This is easy and almost anyone can do it. Make sure your battery has a good connection and the terminals are clean and in good shape. If your battery terminals are dirty, it can cause starting problems. A simple fuse can also keep your vehicle from starting up. Your engine has to get fuel to it in order for it to start. Make sure your fuel pump is kicking on when you turn the key on. You should hear a buzzing sound for a second or two. If you can't hear well and you have a friend, it is easier to listen at the gas cap area. Take your cap off and have someone turn the key on but not all the way to start it. If you hear a noise, your fuel pump is working. A clogged fuel filter can cause your car not to start as well. Of course, there are many other things that it can be, but these are simple checks that you can do yourself. This will begin your process of elimination, to find and solve your problem. Anyone can check these steps. In the long run, it could save you a lot of money my friend. The more you learn about the car, the more you are prepared for future problems. You can save thousands of dollars in a lifetime by working on your own vehicle

Started it this morning to worm it up and it ran for abit and died its got spark wont start

You need to check the fuel pressure. Can your hear the fuel pump buzzing? Remove your gas cap and have a helper turn the key to the run position. With your ear close to the open tank you should hear the pump buzzing. If not you have a fuel problem. Could be the pump, pump relay, or wiring. If you hear it buzzing you still need to check the fuel pressure because a pump can buzz but still not be making enough pressure. That is where I would start.

Sound like your fuel pump quit working. That is what makes the buzzing sound from the back. Sometime if you have someone that can help you you can bang on the gas tank while turning it over to get it started to get it home.

turn the ignition to the ON position and check to see if you can hear the fuel pump making a buzzing sound. if it doesnt make a buzzing sound, the the fuel pump isnt working. if the fuel pump sint working, then check the fuse in the fuse box under the hood.
