SOURCE: steering wheel moves back and forth when i brake 2004 ion

Sounds like your rotors are warped. First off, have the front wheels been off the car at any time recently? If so, someone may have reinstalled them and not torqued the lugs properly. Too much torque (or different torque on different lug nuts) can artifically warp the rotors. Also, hot rotors getting wet can warp (as if you slammed the brakes on or were braking severely on the way to the car wash, where you sprayed them down). Or, they could be just worn out. Chances are though that you'll need new rotors. Remember that when you change rotors, no matter how new the pads on your car may be, you need to put new brake pads on with them.

SOURCE: Driver seat not moving back and forth

under the seat is a thin wire that goes from one side to the other it has most likely broke you need to find the secondary lock it was connected to and release it to move the seat but you must also release the main lock so i suggest replacing the wire . THIS IS FOR MANUEL SEATS
now as for power seats you will have to locate the power lead wire and make sure it is not broke if so you can replace the connecter with an aftermarket one and it may work again

was the suspenssion checked out before the alignment was done?? something is loose/worn out. i would be looking at the lower control arms/bushings on lower control arms.something tells me that who ever did the alignment didnt check out the suspenssion the right way or at all. you can not do alignment if stuff is loose.

The key wont turn on a 2005 chevy impala

Sometimes the simplest solution here is the steering wheel being locked to one side.. Try moving the wheel back and forth (it should only move about 1cm) and try turning the key simultaneously.

2005 Pontiac G6 wont turn ignition cylinder with key. Tried to move shifter back and forth , pressed brake pedels , emergency brake. Still nothing. I am thinking its a locksmith issue. Any ideas? Thanks.

Try turning the steering wheel from side to side as you turn the key.I know there isnt really any wiggle room in the steering now,but you don't need to actually move the wheel very far, you are just putting enough weight on the wheel to take the load off of the steering wheel locking mechanism which is in a bind right now.

Steering problem 1997 Dodge Ram V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 97000 miles I have replaced all the front tie rods.My steering wheel has alot of play in it, is that caused by power steering gearbox?...

the half shaft does not need to go in a certain way, Just as long as you get it in all the way. when checking steering play to see where it is. It's best to leave the truck off. Turn ignition on but dont start to unlock steering column, Then look by driverside tire while your buddy just turns the wheel only the amount of free play it has. Just back and forth usually a few inchs. till it starts getting tight. "Look at the steering shaft and you will see it turning back and forth. Then Look at the output on the pitman arm. It should move back and forth with steering shaft. slower but at the same rate. If it does not. you need a gearbox. but read up because you can adjust some of them with a locknot and screw on top of box. If it's ok. look at the drag link. And down the line. eventually you'l find the problem. Any more Q e-mail me at

Ignition switch

is the vehicle out of gear and in the park position? if so try and turn the steering wheel left and right at the same time turn the key back and forth slowly. repeat this proccess several times. also move your shifter back and forth several times slowly. if this doesn't solve the problem, there is a pin inside the steer wheel coloumn that is the problem. you will have to remove the steering wheel column covers to solve this. good luck ....please rate this.......thanks
