No. Get a quote somewhere else. That is no where near 2k worth of work. There may be $400.00 in parts there. But I doubt it. Maybe another $500.00 in labor.

You have to take air manifold off. First disconnect battery. Remove air intake. Open throttle and take slack in cables to to slide the cables out. Remove bracket. Remove two bolts on the EGR line. There are two bolts in the back( one on each side) holding the manifold. The can be tricky to get to, not much room. A swivel socket and some extensions help. Seven bolts on top of manifold. Disconnect two sensors on left side and sensors to throttle body. Vacuum hose on right side in the back. Buy a air intake gasket and one EGR gasket. I recommend replace valve cover and oil tube seals also. You will probably find oil in the tubes. Spark plugs and wires really helped mine. The wires are tricky to get off the distributor, but I managed without removing it. I don't have big hands. Plan on a all day job.

How do I replace the back iginition coils for a 1999 acura tl?

You need to remove the bolt on each coil. Mine was a 6mm allen bolt. Then carefully remove the wires plugged on to each coil. Mine had a small button on the side of the plug/clip that I had to press in to pull the plug off. Then the each coil should slide right out. Slide the new coil in. Reconnect the wires to the coil and put the bolt back in. Done. Quite easy. Just takes a little patients because there is only so much room behind the motor.

Trying to replace alternator on a 99 Chrysler 300M but can't get the top bolt out due there's not enough room.Do I have lower or raise the engine

yes you do have to lower the engine so that the bolt will slide out threw the bottom of the inner fender frame. it is a pain to do this. take out the bottom motor mount alont with the top mounts on the motor but make sure u put a jack stand under the mount that sits under the motor so the motor does not fall

How to remove/installed starter for 03/ bmw325xi

The starter is bolted to the bell housing which is at the back of the engine. First,disconnect the earth strap of the battery.There are two bolts holding the starter in place at the bell housing area of the gearbox(Top of the gearbox).First off your going to need a 10mm, 13mm, 15mm, 17mm and 19mm sockets with 17mm wrench to remove all the bolts that hold the things in your way together. You will also need a flashlight, flat head screw driver, ratchet, a couple of extensions, a crowbar, a bottle jack (to move the tranny up and down). The procedure is as follows:-- 1) First step is to jack the car up. 2) Second step is to remove the Battery! Very Important! When you remove the battery make sure to clean up the terminals and the battery posts! This requires a 13mm ratchet for removal. 3) Next step is to accesses the tranny cross member and remove the two 13mm bolts that hold the tranny in place. Your going to have to have to swing the tranny up and down with the bottle jack in order to reach certain bolts. Make sure you disconnect the exhaust bolts too!they are 13mm as well. 4) Now to gain access to the starter you to have to remove a few things.Well first your going to have to remove The air box. Your going to need a 10mm socket to do this. After removing the air box your going to have to remove the MAF, the intake plenum and all the vac lines attached. You will only need a flat head screwdriver to unfasten all of the hose clamps. Leave the MAF attached to the top side of the air box for convenience. 5) Next step is to remove the throttle body. You will need a 10mm socket with wobble bar extensions to remove the four throttle body bolts and the flat head screwdriver to remove the hose clamps. There is 2 vacuum lines one small one that goes to the Carbon canister and one big one that goes to the valve cover. There is also 2 coolant lines that hook into the throttle body to help heat the intake air for better fuel atomization.Don't forget to remove the throttle cable and the clip for the TPS. Now you can remove the TB. 6) Next step is to remove the Heater core coolant lines. 7) Now remove a bracket that holds two wire clips to the motor directly behind the starter motor. You have to remove the right clip before you can access the 19mm bolt. 8) The starter is now seen clearly.Now to remove the starter out .First remove the three wires from behind the starter solenoid, There is a thick Black one, a thick Red one and a thin Black one with a yellow stripe. The thin one just slides out off the clip, the other two need to be removed with a 10mm socket DON'T LOSE THE BOLT! 9) Now have the tranny jacked up all the way with the bottle jack. Now you can gain access to the TOP starter bolt on the tranny side. Slide the open end side of a 17mm wrench onto the starter bolt then secure it. 10) Now drop the tranny out slowly and let it hang, you now have enough room to slide a 17mm wrench on the BOTTOM starter bolt.loosen the starter holding bolt and slide the starter out. 11) Before removing old starter check its position and in the same way insert new starter and fit it in reverse of disassembly. Rear main seal is leaking bad so I need to pull the motor (k1500 305)should I pull motor and trans together or just the motor. Any tips and shuold I replace anything else since I have the engine out.

you dont have too pull the motor!!
remove the radiator shroud, remove the distributor cap and rotor, take pipes lose from exsaulst manifold, take out motor mount bolts pick the engine up with a hoist, you now have enough room too drop the oil pan!!remove rear main bearing cap, take lower half of seal out of cap, too remove the up half of seal ,i use a small screwdriver too slide it around the crank ,
grease up the new one and it will slide right in!!
in spect the rod and main bearings while you have it apart and think about replacing them they dont cost much about 4.00 each and if you go that far replace the oil pump its not much either under 30.00!!

This is a common BMW problem before giving to a mechanic try looking at the mechanism to see if any bolts are loose or missing,you might find the bracket is broken or torn and needs to be welded or replaced,the job is relatively easy but be carefull because of the SRS system if not sure give it to an expert.

My right subframe would go up when gas is pushed and it shifted hard and i just got a rebuild trns done i changed bot front and back motor mount it helped a lil but my subframe still moves up when i put it...

1. subframe mounts.
2. subframe bolts or nut welded to body broken
3. Body rotted out.
Ford has a bulliten and a retrofit kit to fix this issue.Its a pain in the *** you need to pull up the carpet and drill holes and stuff, I did one way back in the day. Took like 2-3 hours but fixed it. I live in minnesota the road salt eats cars up something fierce!!

Make sure the bolts for the slider are tight, the two on the door and the one on the body. If these are OK, then pull back the rubber boot on the body and if you see the metal is broken, then you need to have a body shop repair the broken spot welds. If the metal looks OK, then the door stay (slider) will need to be replaced.

Geo metro 1998 crankshaft pulley.

Remove motor and transmission mount bolts and using jack under motor/trans. assembly slide motor away from inner fender well to remove pulley.
