If you can do the work yourself the brake lines are not real expensive. If you cant do it yourself it shouldnt be to much money to pay to have it done.get a price from a few differant garages and replace the rubber hoses also. If the metal lines are rusty then the rubber hoses are going to be weak also causing a spongy pedal.

I recently replaced a rear brake line on my 85 ss monte carlo. I went to bleed the line and nothing came out. I attempted to bleed the other side and no fluid came out. When I replaced the line fluid did...

It should not be a mystery. Loosen one of the fittings on your new line to see if brake fluid is present. If so, the problem lies downstream from that point! Good luck!

I need to replace the rear brake line on my 2004. Buick LeSabre. How long do I make the brake line?

just have to roughly measure it first before getting new line and add 10% for good measure, use a piece of string and trace along the brake line with it , much easier than a ruler

is the metal line or the rubber line leaking? if its the rubber hose just get a new one at the local parts store they are specific to your vehicle.
if its the metal line buy a roll of tubing if you want to replace the whole line dont forget the correct fittings. if you just want to repair a section get a piece of line apx 2 ft longer then the section you want to repair with the correct fittings and that will cover it. Best repair replace the whole line do not patch or will end up repairing it again down the road.

Need diagram for a 2004 chevy avalanche brake line

Brake line diagrams have never been avail
& you don't need them

If your replacing a rusted out brake tube, you
fabricate & duplicate the part your replacing

Given some experience you really could pump
a complete vehicle from scratch

To be working on any product, you have to understand
how it works & how to diagnose & make repairs,of coarse
almost no one has the thousands of dollars in tools at home
to do much on a car

I see you said can't flair line correctly

If that skill is lacking or you do not have the correct
tools your done

Brake tubing is only avail at auto parts stores in different
lengths of straight tubing, as you probably know

No diagrams
No ready made what ever tubing your replacing

Shouldn't say this, but repair shops don't do well
with brake tubing & some don't want the job
They just lack the skills & patience to do a decent job

How do I repair my 2004 Monte Carlo as supercharged kicking out codes p102 and p171

you can try this:

Verify that the Mass Air Flow Sensor wiring is connected properly and that there are no broken / frayed wires.

Inspect for any air leaks near the MAF sensor.

Take the MAF out and clean it using a spray cleaner such as brake cleaner or electrical contact cleaner. Be gentle with the sensor.

Check the voltage of the MAF sensor (refer to a repair manual for vehicle specific information)

Replace the MAF sensor.

Low brake fluid light stays on

Check the brake fluid level. It will have a min & max line. If it is in between these lines, Push down & let up, on sensor in resevoir. It is that plastic part in side just under the cap you take off.It may take several times, should move freely up & down. If light does not go out. Need to replace brake fluid level sensor.

I can't get back brakes on a 1995 Monte Carlo. I replaced the brake pads all around and put new line on the back. It had good brakes on the back when I started.

Have some one pump the break up and hold the peddle doun to the floor and take back break line loose and see if you are getting fluid to the back. if not you need to check lines for bends and clogs. And check the resivor for clogs and fluid. If you are then change the break cylinder It has gone bad.
