If im not mistaken they have to be pressed on and off by a machine shop which means you would have to remove the front bearing pack located under the grease cap. take out the cotter pin then loosen the tower nut and slide it off the front spindle and slide off the rotor. remeber you should clean and repack the bearings you remove when you put the car back together and replace the dollar cotter pins, youll be glad you did when your putting the car back together.

2003 s type brake front pad - what tools are need to change the pads

the front pads are pretty straight forward, just a c clamp is sufficient to press the calibers, make sure the brake fluid reservoir cap is off when you do them..just unbolt the calibers from the rotors and they work the same as standard brakes, but the rear calibers at time will need a caliber tool to turn and press the piston simultaneously

Remove the top of front bumper to expose the head lamp mounting bolts. Undo mounting bolts, disconnect rear harness and reverse the procedure. Sounds easy but will actually consume about an hour of your time.

How do i change front rotors on s type jaguar 2004

you have to remove the 2 bolts holding on the caliper.
separate the caliper from the bracket.
remove the 2 bracket bolts, and after the bracket is off,the rotor can be removed.
some times the rotor needs to be hit with a 32oz hammer to knock it loose.hit the center hub,not the rotor pad surface.
wire brush the hub before installing the new rotor.
use silicone or moly lube on the slide bolts that hold on the caliper.lube the pad surface where they contact the pistons and the bracket.
you will have to compress the pistons to get new pads in.
use a piston tool from auto parts supplier.
for dual pistons, you need to use 2 of them,as one piston will go out when the other goes in.
a "c" clamp can do as well, but be careful not to damage the piston or the caliper will have to be replaced.

Gas filter location 2003 jaguar s-type

Hi.
The fuel filter is located behind the front left wheel.

To replace the filter you will need to take off the front left wheel and then to undo the panel behind the wheel, removing few screws. There you will find the fuel filter.

Regards.

have both front brakes check from the calipers to the pads. worned out breaks pad can grind with the rotors will also cause it to make noises. worned wheel bearing can also cause it to make noise. if you have uneven wear on the pad, have the calipers piston check.

Front brake rotors wont come off when tapping with rubber mallet.

Did you take off the complete brake and caliper system?.  If so wrap a towel around it and gently tap on it with a rubber mallet, careful not to hit the metal with the mallet.  If it is still reluctant to come off, try a little penatrating oil on it.
