I recently experienced the same symptom with my '05 Murano and it was not a fuel problem. The dealer listed the cause as dry axle splines and replaced both front drive shaft assy's. Note that this was done as warranty with no cost incurred by me.

(Assuming the lights/battery are good), First, try a different remote/key. Your remote may be bad.
If the problem is your remote, get a new one ASAP, since you have to
have a working one that the computer recognizes in order to train it to
recognize a new one. Otherwise you have to replace the entire computer
module ($$$).
If the other remote does not help, try disconnecting the ground cable on the battery for a minute or two, then reconnect it. If that fixes it, talk to your dealer. My 2005 Chrysler T&C had a similar problem, the door locks are always powered, but the computer monitors how much current they draw. If it is too high, the computer disables them to save the battery. In my case, the current limit was too low, the computer had to be reprogrammed by the dealer.
