This car is 16 years old. It seems like finding a new one would be something to consider.

After my 1996 honda civic ran out of gas i put in some more gas and now it will not start ,any suggestions

it takes a bit for the gas to get up to carb after running out. you just need to pump the heck out of gas peddle while trying to start car. or have some one pour a little gas in carb to prime it . hope this helps

I HAVE A 2002 HONDA CIVIC, WILL START BUT WON'T STAY RUNNING, HAS NO FAULT CODES WHEN HOOKED TO DIANOGISTICS

ok -
Have you checked your fuel source: How old is the fuel in it now - is there a chance of water being in there? How about your Fuel pump/pressure? - Fuel filter? How about the gas cap - is it vented or creating a vacume?

Alternatively how long does it stay running - till it heats up? only a couple of minutes??

My civic seems to get fuel but it would not stay running.

check the fuel filter and the pressure regulator to make sure you are getting the proper amount of fuel to the injectors. best done with a pressure tester hooked to the port on the fuel rail should read around 30 psi
