CAR WOULD NOT START 2001 TOYOTA CAMRY, REPLACED BATTERY, AND STARTER, IT IS NOT THE ALTERNATOR.

Bad starter solenoid if it only clicks. Take starter off, go to Autozone or some other national parts store and they will test it for free.

Car won't start without a jump but battery okay

wont crank or wont start.??
no car starts , if it cant crank. (unless push starter (M/T magic)
that is not a trans sensor its the PRN switch.
ill answer for, wont CRANK !
it wont crank even with a good battery (charged) or jump started.
1: bad start
2: bad wires to same.
so hot wire the starter small wire, the key start line is tiny.
cranks. , starter good, no crank starter bad or cables bad.
if it cranks hot wired, then the key line is dead.
easy, huh?

My '91 ford festiva will start and run when jumped but will die when the lights or radio is used replaced the altnator already and batteriy is good idk whats wrong can anyone help

You would need to check alternator output with a meter and the circuit from the alternator back to the battery. Could have blown a fuse or fuse wire.

You or someone will have to figure out why your new alternator is doing absolutely nothing. Not only is it not putting out enough power to run all the car's electrical systems, it is also not charging the battery, so you could start it next time off the battery and not have to get it jumped. With it not working, the car has to use battery power to run everything, and when you use lights, or radio, or any accessory, the battery runs down even quicker.
One reason alternators don't work is loose or poor connections between the battery and alternator. You could remove your battery cables (check them, if they look old or worn badly, replace) from the battery (negative first) and clean the cable ends and the battery posts till the metal is shiny clean. Do the same for the negative cable to frame ground point. Then check the big cable end on the starter, make sure it is tight. Put the cables back on-positive first, negative last, then move to the alternator and check the connections there for a clean tight connection. A couple of other ground points you could check is the engine to frame ground-somewhere on the engine is a ground strap bolted to engine metal and the other end will ground on the car frame or on the firewall in back of engine. If this ground is lost, strange electrical problems may result. One more ground: often the engine and computer wiring harness will have a ground wire coming out of the harness-a short wire-and may be grounded around the top of engine-many cars do have this visible ground, so check for it and check if a good ground.
If you do all this, and still no help, cheeck all your fuses in the under hood fuse block-sometimes there is an alternator fuse there, a big maxi-fuse. Check if good, check all fuses. If no help, you likely need a mechanic or shop to figure it out. Good luck. Hope you find it.

I have a 04 sedona. back in july the van didnt start so it did with a jump. after that it started when it wanted to so i replaced the starter. today it dont start tryed a jump got nothing. pt it in...

Could be a miss aligned switch try wiggling the shifter in park the next time it dose not start to see if starts. Also dirty battery cables will give you the same crazy makes no sense problems. Clean both the post of the battery and the cable ends and make sure they are tight. Your car needs a completely charged battery (14.2volt at the ignition) to start, were as the radio and other electronics, locks, windows, etc. only need a few amps. .

My 1998 Dodge Durango won't turn over and the car is getting no power anywhere, except for the headlights. The engine will crank but won't turn over. Any ideas? Everything worked fine until we had to...

Is the ground for the engine and the battery clean and working properly check at point of connection with test light to see if all grounds are OK and make sure no positive cable are bare and touching metal causing a ground fault and blowing fuse . check wires at battery and going to starter some times wires will burn through and touch other wires or metal causing a direct ground. good luck
