2006 toyota driver's power seat stuck

You might be able to purchase the motor separately on ebay. You can remove the seat by taking out the 4 bolts that bolt the seat to the floor. Once you have the seat removed, disconnect the wiring harness from the motor assembly and detach the motor from the spiral gear assembly. You can then manually screw the seat to your desired position and leave it there if you are the only driver. Good luck! Any questions, feel free to ask.

My cars done about 230km. should i think about selling it or can it still take more. abit squeaky when turning (maybe pitman arm) and maybe needs some new plugs or fuel injection cleaning.

Being that its an Expedition I wouldn't think about selling it. If its squeaking when its turning all you need is a good grease job. Get a shop to grease all the joints in the front end. The pitman arm, idler arm, ball joints and tie rods. You can even spray a little WD 40 on the shock to make it smoother when extending. Those motors are very nice, and I wouldn't sell it. I had an F150 with the same motor but I had about 320k miles on it before I sold it for a diesel.

Our power window gears do not work. motor works, window slips. do we change the whole motor?

Yes, change the motor out. It has a plastic/nylon bushing in it that some parts houses do sell. However, most parts stores now sell lifetime warranty motors, if youre going through the trouble of taking the motor of to replace the bushing better to replace the entire motor so if the bushing or motor goes bad you get a free replacement.

The motor blew up, need to replace it. new or

A new motor will cost you 1000s . A used one will do if you are short on money. Places that sell used motors usually have a limited warranty on the motors they sell. They do a check up on the motor and refurbish it. they give you time to take it back in case it fails or anything else.

Information on quad 4 engine removal

If your going to do a job this big and you with not done it before, its wise to get the repair manuel for the car you have. Most auto parts stores have them as they sell more parts to do it yourselvers than anybody. Follow the step by step instructions. The goal in to change the engine or just to remove it to sell the motor and junk the car? If your just selling the motor cut the wires and hoses and remove any bolts that told the motr to the trans or body till the hoist pickes up the motor keep cutting and unbolting till it comes out

remove your window motor from door usually 3 bolts hold it on or 3 rivets. if its riveted you need to drill them out . once the motor is removed you will see a black back plate held on by one small screw. remove this and pull the plate off and you will see a gear, remove the gear and you should see pieces of plastic shreded up in the motor. clean it out go buy a plastic toilet bowl screwand use the smooth side of the screw cut doown to fit in the motor with the gear on top .. it will need three pieces in there. put the gear back in reassemble the motor and test it before you put it back on it should work fine for several years. cost of DIY maybe $3. its not hard to do. ford sells a rebuilt kit but they would rather sell you a now window motor
