SOURCE: 87chevys10 87 2.8L2wdautopickuptruck no spray from injectors no idea light doesn't light, replaced fuel pump , dist., iac,2ecms,fuel filter, will start and run briefly with gas poured in throttle

check the exhaust sounds like the catalytic converter or muffler maybe plugged. If you remove the 02 sensor ahead of them it should start and run rough. When they get plugged they will put back pressure on the engine and not allow the fuel to be drawn into the cylinders and fire.

Van no start

The fact that it starts if you spray it indicates that you have a fuel problem. Either out of gas, low fuel pressure, fuel pump issue.

We have a 2006 Chevy Aveo and it is having a problem staying started throughout the day. We try to start it in the mornings and it spits and sputters trying to remain started but eventually stops. Once we...

Start with replacing the fuel filter. The Aveo fuel filter is located passenger-side rear, in front of the rear tire.

If there is no filter there, then the filter is a non serviceable filter and is integrated with the fuel sending unit. Your going to have to replace the fuel sending unit if the fuel pressure is slow, start with running fuel injector cleaner through the fuel system for the next few fill up's and hope that will clear up the issues your having.

The other thing to is that your IAC (idle air control) valve may be dirty and is stuck close, you can try cleaning it by spraying Throttle body cleaner through the throttle body, paying attention to the IAC passageway. A dirty of faulty EGR valve will also do the same thing.

Start with the simple and inspect to see if you do have a external fuel filter, and inspect the wire leads to the IAC, EGR and clean them with throttle body cleaner. Don't forget to run the fuel injector cleaner through your gas tank.

Thank you for using Fixya and good luck.

89 suburban. No spray from injectors after replacing ESC

The fuel pump should be in the 20s. Also it could be losing presure slowly. Leave the fuel pump pressure gage on for at least 2 to 3 hours to see if it is losing pressure - It's a start

1994 chevy suburban, no fuel coming from fuel

Put an injector noid light at the injector plug terminals to see if your getting a signal from the PCM(computer). If not try to find a computer from the same vehicle that works and swap it into yours to check.A PCM swap will take about 15minutes.

92 chevy 1500 5.7 tbi starts and dies. replaced fuel pump and filter, tbi, iac, and tps, still has same problem. fuel spray seems weak at injectors. could it be the module in distrbutor?

Try using a good fuel line/injector cleaner Seafoam is a good one. If this does not help you may have tone or more clogged injectors. Clean these out and you should be good to go. tTo see Seafoam in action goto you tube type Seafoam into the search box.

there are two things i would do
first is the cheaper get a can of starting fluid and while some one chanks the engin and steps on the gas pedal lightly spray the starting fluid into the air intake after the air filter ( remove the air filter cover first) it should start and die when the fluid runs out
#2 get a fuel injector noid light to see if the injectors have power to them
