Question about Holden Cars & Trucks
My screen on numberous occasions has gone blank, freezes on whaever screen is displayed at the time, and goes fuzzy/snowy. Holden advised they have no idea as to why its happening and couldn't assist me. The car is 10 months old and has been happening since the first month of purchase. When it happens the air-cond, radio, reverse camera and apple car play cannot be used. I have given holden numerous video clips, pics and described in detail when it occurs, e.g. phone connected, not connected etc etc. They shoved me off yesterdasy advising if it happens again to bring it in for inspection. The problem is it happens constantly and holden will not just take you in without notice. The holden head tech at the dealer advised if they do not get enough complaints about the issue holden will do nothing about it. This is one of a series of car issues I am having with this vehicle, many more also remain outstanding. Last holden I buy.
Hi Rob sorry to hear your having problems with your Captiva. Did you buy this vehicle new? not that it makes any difference as it should be covered under warranty. Unfortunatley this must be a difficult fault for the dealer to reproduce. You mentioned you had other faults with the vehicle,are they related ie electrical faults or mechanical. There is no reason why you should not just turn up when it happens for the Dealer service manager to view at ist hand and for him to take a video of this annoying fault. He can then submit this info to Holden on your behalf. Hopefully they can then get the ball rolling to find a fix. Good luck.
