Is there a circuit breaker or fuse to replace to solve this issue?

We replaced plugs and wires in my 2000 Buick LeSabre and middle Ignition Coil (for plug 2 and 5). when we started it back up plug 2 and 5 where not firing and was told to reset computer by disconnecting Battery. when reconnected we had no power at all. replaced the battery as it tested bad (7 years old in the desert)new battery in still no electrical power except to the radio.

When you turn the key on the instrument cluster has no lights come on ? The head lamps don't work ? plug 2 and 5 where not firing and was told to reset computer by disconnecting Battery. If 2 & 5 are the only ones not firing ,disconnecting the battery isn't going to change that . The ignition module has burnt out transistor . If there was B+ voltage before you disconnected the battery you have a bad connection . Check your connections , cables ! Unless you shorted something . Do you know how to do automotive electrical testing using a voltmeter and a electrical power distribution diagrams ? This video on diagnosing coil drivers ( transistors ) is on a saturn 2.2 4 cylinder , doesn't matter testing the transistor is the same for your vehicle .

All these suggestions were tried it ended up being the Ignition Coil Modulator it was corroded. This solved the issue of plugs 2 and 5 not firing. the misfire for cylinder 6 was a dirty injector solved by using a system additive in the gas. And finally the power issue turned out to be a dead battery. Batteries only last about three years in high heat and mine was 7 years old. Also had to change positive cable going to the battery as it was corroded 2 inches into the cable. Thanks for all your help everyone.

2000 buick lesabre runs rough, black carbon on one coil post when removing plug wire.

The coil may be bad. Was the plug wire inserted all the way in? Could be a bad coil, but also check that wire and its spark plug for any sign of damage. Not likely, but check.

No spark on one igniton coil of 2000 Lesabre buick

Hi Glen, If the problem persists after replacing the coil I believe you must look at the cables for an internal broken circuit. Also check the ground connection. If all else fails check the computer. Regards John

2000 Buick LeSabre Will not start Replaced cam

Multiple engine misfire is related to the coils and the ignition control module. I have a 2002 with the 3.8 engine. It has three coils. I just went through this problem. I bought one coil and tried it in each position with no improvement. It was the ignition control module. Mine is located under the three coils. A relatively easy item to replace. Cost about $140.
