How much trans fluid goes in 1989 buick century?

Automatic Transmission, Total Fill
4 speed THM440-T4..........7.6 liters
3 speed THM125C..........6.6 liters

If your just topping off the fluid, make sure the transmission is at it's operating temperature and the level should between add and full on the transmission dipstick while the engine is running on level ground in park. Take two reading if not three, the last reading is always the one your go with.
Good luck and hope this helps.

I own a volvo s40 t4, and i recently started having a problem with my oil leaking and cannot trace where it's coming from and i regularly have to fill up my oil. can you please assist as i also noticed...

SOUNDS LIKE YOUR VALVE SEALS ARE WORN, THIS COULD CAUSE ALL OF THE SYMPTOMS YOU DESCRIBED. A GOOD TECH CAN REPAIR THIS WITHOUT REMOVING HEAD FROM ENGINE.

Water levels in my S40 T4

Seems you are in troubles.
The water level rise up when you open the cap because of the pressure and temperature, even if water is far below level this is normal.
If your water is going, and there is no leakage, most common cause is head gasket starting to go.
When head gasket lose her grip and insulation, water circulating in cylinders is vaporized, and water level goes down.
If this is the case ( and probably it is) yopur car will stop for good one of this days.
Another symptom head gasket is going is white smoke from exhaust.
There are liquid testers on the market, they are quite easy to use, you should go to your car part reseller and ask the proper one for your motor, here is an example

Check here for a simple description of the problem.

Here is how the head gasket looks like.

Here is a compression test kit

Head gasket itself it is not an expensive part, but its replacement involves a lot of labor, it is definitively not a job for novices.
Check first that you do not have any external leak, and that water pump is running ok.
