You need to have the transmission serviced. The wrench indicates that the fluid in your transmission is out of spec or you have an out of spec pressure condition.

If the check engine light stays on when your engine is running, your onboard computer has detected a fault in your emissions system. You need to have it hooked up to a code detector to find out what the problem is. If you are near an Autozone or Advance auto parts store they will usually do that for free. Here is where your search begins. Most of the time the code for "engine lean" will show up. That means you are getting too much air into the intake manifold. Excess air gets in through vacuum tube leaks, intake gasket leaks, faulty EGR, and PVC valves and sometimes valve stem seals, There are also a variety of other codes that may indicate faulty oxygen sensors, catalytic converter, fuel evaporative system. It is too expensive to just start changing parts and hoping you get it the first. It is important to get the codes that are stored in your onboard computer first.

I would recommend that you take the car to a certified mechanic and explain the issue with the battery replacement, and the subsequent issues. He may not have connected all of the necessary wires to the battery. It sounds like you have an issue with a ground wire (a wire that goes from the negative terminal on the battery, to the body and block of the vehicle)
I hope that you have found this information to be useful, and if I can be of any further assistance, please let me know. Thank you for using fixya!

1993 camero, wont start keep getting clicking noise

have had this issue before and was actually the contacts in the starter solenoid it did sound like a dead battery. Do you have a gauge or idiot light for your battery voltage? if you have a gauge watch it when you try to start it anything over 10 volts it should at least crank even if it is slow. otherwise you need to look at what could be draining your battery ie interior lights staying on, large aftermarket stereo system, the stereo usually will stay on for ten minutes after the key is shut off or until a door is opened. hope this helps good luck feel free to email me if you need any other suggestions

Fuse blows causing dash instruments to not function

This could be a problem with what he did if the wiring was not correct and he had to replace the head light or any of the wiring harness to make the car like new. There is a short somewhere. It could be that with the accident some wire got trapped in the metal and when they straightend the body they pinched the wire or something to do with the headlight. I would take it back to him and demand that he shows you exactly what he did. Body shops are known for having issues like this and not wanting to take blame fr a problem

If you take off the cover around the steering colum there should be a wire connected above your blinker switch if its not all the way pushed in tac ,speed and other lights will not work.
