You may have a leaking injector or a bad injection pump problem. Sounds more like a leaking injector because it is missing. I would check for a leaking injector first. Hope this helps.

i think only had 4 cyl then but the 2 engines are sisters.
the 4 and 5 cylinder have same setup, long ago. VM. 1998

Ax-15 transmission input shaft seems to be short going into 4BT cummins motor


that ax-15 , behind cummin's.
3.9L , 50 lbs more torque, there, may be ok.
when buying custom mod. cars this is all normal.
1: nobody can fix your car, due to its not stock.
2: get stranded on the road, far from home and nobody will wont to touch it..
3: finding out just what the hacker did to make it work, now that takes alive human to do that... for sure.
hacker=modder=custom jeep.

you may need to go to jeep.com
and look at every front pinon shaft ever used
on the ax-15

it's too short because you have 3.9L cummins to Ax-15 adapter

and has a custom collar for the throwout to slide on.

2005 rodeo diesel,engine light comes on @100-110kms hour,will cruise at that,but wont go any faster unless u put foot hard to the floor,after about 5-10secs light goes away,motor picks up,comes up as


check that the engine light coming on is in fact a warning light telling you that you have reached max road speed allowable . By putting the foot down you are telling the ECM to ignore the setting and to increase the available power to go faster ( as in passing ) run the fault codes to check for sensor problem and talk to a service dealer as to the reason as there may be an upgrade for the CPU software in the ECM.

first of all, a 2.5 is a 4 cyl.. I noticed you stated it was a 6 cylinder, 6 cyl. are 3.0. it is important to know if it is a 4 or 6 cyl to correct this type of problem. this problem is either carburetor related or something the fuel line. try losening the gas cap and the drive to see if this corrects problem. could be vapor locked......mike

Cylinder miss fire. I have changed the plugs and whole coil pack bar. Can't figure out what is wrong.


a miss fire can be caused by a bad fuel injector or wiring to the fuel injector. Do a self test on the computer. turn key off-on, off-on, off-on. The codes with flash out in pairs on the check engine light, 5-5 being the end of the test. It may identify the problem cylinder. IF you do find a stuck injector you can try the redneck fix. Put a long socket extension on the injector and tap lightly with a hammer while the engine is running. TAP LIGHTLY!!! ITS ONLY PLASTIC!!!!! This may free up the injector. make sure spark is reaching the plug.

1st how do you know the miss is on cyl 5 & 6? did you take the lead off and see if the miss was still there?
check all vacuum hoses and cables

Heard a knick-knack sound and then the engine shut


knock sensor is working at least right but unfortuanantly thats all that is working

it is likely a knock isue check the motor oil it is not un usual for a nisan to knock when the oil is low but on rare ocation it will kick so hard the knock sensor will activate

Dead miss on #1 cyl


hole in top of piston/rings broke/big gouge down side of piston.head gasket or head related problem,oil feed to head runs by no 1 cylinder .Do a compression test,or just pull the head off and have a look.

You have a cylinder misfire. You need to check the distributor, wires, and pull the plugs because something is not firing the fuel mixture in one or more of your cylinders at timew. you can do the plugs yourself for the most part. I dont know how the 6 cyl looks in the engine compartment of the wrangler, but from my experience with a 96 XJ, number 6 cylinder is very difficult to get to because of the interior air intake vents. if all the plugs seem fine, you may want to take it into a shop for a distrubutor and wire check
