My radio works on my 2004 jeep grand Cherokee but the time and station don't light up do I need to replace the radio

any thing can be fixed.! (my job that, before retired)
the question (only) is time and money?
if the labor is more than a new upgraded radio.
why fix old.?
is the dash dimmer working, and all other lights on dash bright
the the radio has issues. (stock) if not stock the wires are bad behind radio. the dial wire.
does the radio work? and dial right, can you see the stations, with a flash light, ? then the back light is burned out.
if VFD display or LCD dead , big time $$$ fix.

on mine , 04 i put a new , media only head end.
am/fm , USB , flashcard, aux in, radio
and have micro usb there, very tiny with 4000 songs.
no more discs and radio head is very tiny.

Avensis bulb replacement

hi
changing tail light on toyota avensis 2008 is a simple affair like the first love. if you access trunk and take the side little pockets you are able to check the hole and insert your hand in ti. now the tricky part, to change the brake light and the helplight they both sit on the same stock. to check this you have to move and see around from outside to check that you are touching the right stock. just when youre sure you can feel a little plastic handle on the top side of the stock this has to be pressed while you press one on the lower end of the stock, it takes time and patience but is achieveable,as in case of every success story, the two bulbs and stock can come out and you can change it.
the second part is of changing the signal bulb this has to be done very simple as it does not have a stock and the bulb comes out but just moving clockwise or anticlockwise dont remember so accurately and this is very simple to change.
to achieve all this there are some points that need to be kept in mind
1. daylight or a torch to check get the idea what we are upto and how the assembly looks, as you will not be able to change the bulb but through a mind picture of the assembly.
2. patience and go easy dont rush it may break some valueable parts and may cause extra money.
3. hope for the best

Hello,i am changing my radio from stock to store brought.i have connected all wires correctly.there are two extra wires. one is red with yellow stripe. when i connect that wire to a power source, the dash...

I guess you just cut all the wires and didnt' purchase a wiring harness. You should spend the extra money. Makes it way easier plus you can always put the stock one back in with no problem if you ever decide to sell the car. More than likely the red/yellow was to control the brightness on your stock unit at night. The same way you can control the brightness of your dash lights. As far as the other wire not sure what it was for. Does the new unit work? If so then just trim the exposed copper part of the wires and cover with electrical tape. Those wires wouldn't change anything on your new unit or actually connect to it.

I need to change my passenger side headlight bulb on my 2002 beetle. Can anyone please send me a diagram on how to do this.

WHAT TO DO IS OPEN THE HOOD OF YOUR BEETLE AND WILL BEABLE TO SEE THE HEAD LIGHT. THERE IS A LEAVER THAT PUSHES DOWN TO EJECT THE HEAD LIGHT OUT OF THE FENDER. YES IT COMES ALL THE OUT OF THE CAR. YOU MAY NEED TO TAKE A SCREW DRIVER TO PUSH THE LOCK DEVICE DOWN TO PUSH LEAVER DOWN.ONCE YOU GET THE HEAD LIGHT OUT TAKE THE BACK OFF OF IT AND REPLACE THE BULBS. WHEN YOU PUT THE HEAD LIGHT BACK IN THERE ARE 3 GUIDES TO PUT THE HEAD BACK IN TO LOCK IT BACK IN PLACE. ONCE YOU HAVE IT IN THE GUIDES US THE LEAVER TO PULL THE HEAD LIGHT BACK INTO THE FENDER.
