The back bolts on my thermostat /water outlet is hard to get to.on my 2000 lincoln ls what tools do i need

should be able to get to it with a flex-socket,unless it's best for you to remove whatever is in the way (try first with a flex-socket and extension. MAKE SURE YOU HAND START THE BOLTS TO MAKE SURE YOU DON'T CROSS-THREAD AND TIGHTEN EVENLY AS TO PREVENT BREAKING THE NEW PIECE.

How to remove the dome or map light on a 2001 lincoln ls

It snaps in place
There will be two places on each side, you need to push on,while pulling down. It is called an overhead console
Your best bet,is to fabricate a plastic tool, like a plastic putty knife, to use .
Every thing on the LS seems to snap together The challange is to figure it out, without breaking something

2001 Lincoln LS running hot.

Change the thermostat. it is located at the end of the a radiator hose. The hose attaches to the thermostat housing outlet . The thermostat is under the housing. Also have it scanned for a trouble code . It could be the temperature control sensor.
