SOURCE: Loud clicking noise coming from

sounds like the rockers or lifters have some play due to wear.you don`t say what rpm you are shifting at other than high rpm.by changing the oil you have increased the viscosity of the oil as its new and not dirty and thin and cold oil is thicker than warm oil.you might want to try a heavier oil to see if it helps.you may not get this noise out unless you replace components or adjustment of rockers if they are adjustable.if its not very bad you may have to live with it.

How do I silence or quieten the reverse noise ?

reverse gear is what is called a spur cut gear and because of that it generally is noisier that the other gears
it runs on it's own idler shaft and there most probably will be a bearing problem that is allowing the mesh of the gears to alter and that will make the reverse noise louder than normal
so it is either a bearing on the way out or because of the way the gears are cut , a tooth could be chipped or partially broken off (slashing reverse inadvertently when selecting from 5th back to 4th)
the fix will be a box overhaul of the bearing or gears

My honda accord runs loud and sounds like it will not go into 4th gear

THERE IS AN OVERDRIVE BUTTON ON THE SHIFTER, PUSH IT AND YOU CAN FIND OUT IF IT GOES INTO 4TH GEAR MANUALLY OR IF THERE IS A TRANS PROBLEM

Manual Transmission loud metal noise 5th gear doesn't work

check the drain plug magnet for metal bits . If any the box has to come out 4.th gear is straight shaft connection and 5 gear connects from the cluster shaft up to the out put shaft . On either side is a rear main bearing and from your description if that bearing is failed then the 4th gear syncro will not align properly and the gear for 5th will be out of alignment so the syncro to work will not work

zero answers. (my bag, even old , 60days.
fixed it,yet?
bang, !
my guess? is car was in park, started and was too rich(mostly normal)
and the exhaust has air leaks (very bad for many reasons)}
and you heard muffler explosion.
AIR (leaks in) plus excess fuel, nets you BOOM.

no MP3 audio so my best assessment. LOL
ok if the front of the CAT has air leaks this can cause
huge waste of fuel as the oxygen sensor goes quite nuts.
nuts means, car will not hold closed loop and economy goes out door.

Car won't start . Clicking noise wen key is turned

It's your starter. Find location of your starter. By the flywheel. Then. Bang on it . Your car will start. You still need to replace the starter.

High pitched metallic sound at gear change (automatic Honda)

It's very likely to be something as simple as a loose and corroded exhaust heat shield, or something similar which is resonating as you change up on a cold engine. Once the car warms up, metal expands and will take up any loose gaps which may be allowing the noise to occur. I've had the same symptoms and cause on other cars in the past.

Take your car to an exhaust specialist where they usually will inspect your exhaust for free in the hope of finding a chargeable repair.

An internal gearbox fault would be more muffled than the noise you describe.

After the water hose broke from the back of the engine the engine made a funny metal banging noise and shut off. now it wont start it just keeps cranking. whats wrong

I guess you may have seized your motor. Try turning the crankshaft pulley with a spanner...or if car is a manual, try engaging the 4th gear and push the car see if your engine is turning.
