How to Determine Why a Car Stalls at Intersections?

Hello Lewis Mullins,

That ought really depend on which century it was built...
Make, model, owner treatment, engine, tranny...
Recent history & if anyone has recently shot it, submerged it or parked it on it's roof??

If it is a GM... they are notorious for having idles issues (running too fast) While stopped the torque converer will only tollerat a limited number of revolutions... and then it ENGAGES...

Caused by the "cold air valve" in the "FUEL INJECTION".

Called "lock-up" speed... The engine will die as good as any clutch (trainee) driver just learning to (almost) drive.

If you want a better answer... better question would be really helpful.

How to adjast engine timing

On a newer vehicle, leave it to the dealership. Chances are the timing isn't an issue, but a sensor or two might be playing a role in your problem.

What role would computer tools play in setting the timming mark of 3.7L Liberty jeep,2002 model

what great question, ROLES.
what are you doing, service,? or troubleshooting? what? new heads?
no context or just curious....???
first off , is this spark timing or cam?
my guess is spark,
and the FSM is clear there, (ever seen a FSM?)
factory service manual or look online at
it says, there is no spark timing on DIS engines.
(there are exception on early DIS systems (i have one)
its fixed, the 2 timing sensors cam/ crank are hard fixed.
This allows the ECU to advance the timing and NEVER be wrong.
now the proof.
i log into for you.
i click search , spark timing.
"Ignition timing is controlled by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). No adjustment is possible."

now the ROLE question, answer , ALL.
the PCM does it ALL. (software/firmware)

Why does my 2007 nissan sentra go in and out of closed loop?

Engine and road speed play a role too.
There are about 8 parameters that have to be met for the system to go into closed loop and it does not have to stay there.

As is often the case in the automobile industry, it's hard to separate the man from the vehicle John DeLorean was a hero amongst the very rich for creating the kind of car the future promised. With a stainless steel-skinned body, sleek lines and doors that opened vertically (gull wings), his DMC-12 hit the streets in 1980. Over the next three years, only 8,900 cars would be made. The car played a feature role in "Back to the Future" and become a potent status symbol. Then, in 1983, a sting revealed John on tape saying "this **** is as good as gold," referring to a suitcase full of drugs valued at $24 million. Later acquitted on entrapment grounds and cleared of defrauding his partners, he would never gain the investor's trust again.mcneb_34.jpg businesspundit

How can you tell if a 1999 chevy cavalier 2.2 is in time?

If it sounds like the engine is below idle speed which is 1000 rpm, bring it to a shop. The timing plays a big role in automobiles. If your timing is off then it can really damage some engine components. hope this helps.
