WHATS THE IP LIGHTS INDICATOR MEAN

Try the parking brake release. On a car that old you MAY have a sticky parking brake cable that's partly engaged. If this is the case, it would freeze up in place and cause the sending unit for your brake light to turn on/off at random. -they use the same light for brakes and parking brakes- If your brake petal has become less firm or "spongy feeling" recently... then it's an issue with the brakes themselves. Also check your brake fluid level.

ABS, Parking Brake, Engine Lights Stay On

Have to first check for codes as with any vehicle issue
Whom ever your hearing things from is a waste of time,
unless it is at a repair shop & your standing next to your car
as it is being tested

Knocking sound when engine is hot

Sounds like car has been overheated and has a collapsed piston skirt. This will cause piston slap until piston heat up and expand.-------------------------------------------------------------------------

98 ford van was running and in park while being washed. all of a sudden it jumped out of park and took off forward and hit the wall. what could go wrog? please let me know. thanks. Ali,

you sure it was in park and not neutral? ----- If it was in park then this is a serious issue and I suggest you tell FORD themselves, they would like to know!!!!! ----- Never heard of this happening, Often it will slip from N to D, or N to R, but never out of park.... "PARK" - its name says it all... this should never happen even if the box is worn out, the fluid is low, it is overheated and full of sand it should never happen, this is a *serious* issue for ford to be told about... what if other old fords start doing it and running people over causing accidents... I reckon you get onto ford customer service. --------- you could have been killed - Be careful with this runaway car, have it properly checked out before you leave it in park -

2006 Chevrolet Uplander Parking Lights Stay On

My 2006 Uplander would not shut off the parking lights. I came here for a solution. I saw the answer here, actually the question, and I used the key fob to lock the vehicle. The lights went off. That was a temporary solve. Now, is this a "glitch" or a "feature"?

Pressure buildup in the gas tank which causes the car to sputter and die unexpectedly.

I have never seen or heard such thing. You have a different problem. Is the "check engine light on?" Gas tanks have pressure in them on regular bases and I have never seen car sputtering because of a pressure in the gas tank.
