u will have to drop the oil pan or check on the back of the intake you since you are loosing oil pressure that would be more like the pump its self

sounds like u had a oil pump go bad
if motor ceased it junk now but with this truck only having 72000 miles on it i would put a new motor in it if you do decide to put new motor in it and plan on doing that kind of towing i highly recomend puting a oil cooler on it and high voulme oil pump if this truck has a factory oil cooler that in the radaitor i recomend u disconnect that one and put a aftermarket cooler on it if u do decide to reuse old oil cooler make sure you blow all the old oil out of cooler because it probley has **** in it from motor seizeing

yes it is possible to have a failed injector. test pulse and then remove the rail, leave the injectors hooked up electrically and have someone turn the key on (prepare for fuel spray by disconnecting the ignition and covering the area with a protective cover to also prevent the risk of fires), and watch for the patern. you can also isolate the problem easier by when it is running, disconnecting the harness at the injector or plug wire and notice the engine change. the one that doesnt change, is your problematic cylinder. then test accordingly.

SOURCE: The oil pressure gauge in
You need to verify that you actually have oil pressure before continuing to drive. It may only be the sender or the gauge, but you need to verify oil pressure. The sender is on the right side of the engine block, remove that, pull your coil wire so the engine won't start, and crank it over. If you have oil pressure, oil will squirt out of hole.
