Question about Hyundai Cars & Trucks

1 Answer

My 2003 Hyundai Sonata will not take fuel at a reasonable rate. I think it is the filter connected to the fuel intake, but I can't find it's actual location. Any suggestions?

Most companies including Hyundai stopped using replacement fuel filters in 2003.
The only fuel filter your car has is before the pump in the gas tank.

Hyundai Sonata 2006 - Check Engine light came on.

"Fuel system too lean at idle". It's an air/fuel ratio that is not correct, possibly a vacuum leak somewhere. Or a leaky exhaust pipe. Could be related to intake manifold gasket. Somewhere, air is getting into the engine.

I suggest taking it back to the dealer under warranty. I think Hyundai is 10yr./100k for the original owner. 5yr./50k if not. Ask first if covered, and ask why not id not covered.

Where Is The Fuel Filter On A 2006 Hyundai Sonata

follow your fuel lines and you'll find it. you might have to drop the tank as on the 2nd gen accents, (fuel filter in this case is above the tank) and in some vehicules the fuel filter is in the fuel tank itself. in this case before dropping the tank make sure you don't have a lot a gas in it for the obvious reason.
