Replace your coolant temperature switch,it's screwed into block by oil filter. Here's a picture of what it look's like.Your water pump working properly. Are your spark plugs burning clean, not oily from bad piston rings?

My 2002 gram am will not crank

It the engine does not crank, its not the crank sensor.
If it cranks but won't start, it could be a long list of things including the crank sensor.
No crank could be the starter, neutral safety switch, key switch, or connection in the wiring.

Replace water pump, thermostat and temperature sensor on 2004 pontiac aztek still getting hot

have you checked to see if the cooling fan is working properly.if not then it will have to be checked to see if its the fan that is no good, wiring,or a relay.there are 2 temp sensors one for the gage/light and one for the computer to know what the engine temp is to alter engine controls and cooling fan operation.

Oil filter type and location on a pont.sun fire 2004. can't see it or just blind but unable to locate..hope you can help.TA

The oil filter is located on top of the engine underneath the egine cover.... when you takee the cover off it will be down by the intake manifold on the right hand side. it looks like there is just a black cover with a nut on top it is a 36mm nut and can be tricky to get loose if you dont have a short socket. the filter is a cartidge that is under that cap
