Quality brand 20w-40 engine oil
you can use semi synthetic or full synthetic but as the oil should be changed every 10,000miles , it is not the cost of the synthetic oil
remember that the viscosity of the oil will depend on the ambient temp in your operating area so read your owners manual or talk with accredited service centers to help you decide

I have a 1998 model nissan elgrand and the millage has reached 101170km, when can I change the timing belt?

timing belt change is recommended at 100.000 klms, so now would be a good time to consider changing it
A professional job with the aim of another 100.000 trouble free klms will include the belt, idler pulleys , cam and crank shaft seals and if fitted a hydraulic tensioner
The reason for the extra replacements is this
all those components have covered the same distance as the belt and as oil is the biggest destroyer of belts, do the job once , do it properly( idler pulley bearings are well worn, seals will have lost the ability to seal properly and will fail within the next 50.000 klms )
get quotes from accredited service shops that have experienced on your make of vehicle
The price will be around $800.00.00 with a time of around 4.5 hours

Nissan recommends changing the oil every 3750 miles. The computer is reminding you that you have driven 3860 miles without yet changing the oil.

Nissan pulsar 1988 wont go into gear I can put the gear stick in the right gear but does nothing wont reverse or drive, its automatic and has a reconditioned engine in it

try checking your transmission oil (i had the same problem but after $30 it was fixed) it might had drained out. if your transmission oil is fine then consult a mechanic preferebly an automatic transmission specialist. may be your transmission needs a rebuild.

Please help , where can i see the oil filter of nissan sedan 1990 pulsar on this car engine. i try to look around the engine i did not notice the oil filter. im tryin to put new engine oil and the oil...

Your oil filter is screwed onto a threaded tube coming out of the block (which is the lower part of the engine. Get you new filter and look under the engine you should see it clearly. It may not be the same color but it should be the same shape & size. It should unscrew counter clockwise, make sure the this rubber gasket comes off with the old filter. You can use any suitable tool to remove the old one but only put the new one on hand tight. Usually lubricating the gasket on the new filter is a good idea. Just use some engine oil. You car takes 3 3/4 quarts 5w30 oil after draining old oil & removing filter.
