2000 Ford F-150. The oil temp warning light came on and the oil pressure gauge dropped to zero. While accelerating, the pressure gauge goes back to normal and the warning light goes out. No drivability...

Make sure the oil level is correct. If the engine bearings are getting worn, the oil pump is worn or it's screen plugged, that can cause low-RPM weak oil pressure. Try running with 'high mileage' oil at your next oil change and always replace the filter. At some point, you may need to consider overhauling or replacing the engine. Good luck!

HOW TO CHECK TRANSMISSION OIL

I'm assuming that you have an automatic tranny.
Engine must be warm.
Raise the hood.
Get in and shift thougth ALL gears starting with low and go through up to drive, reverse, ect stopping at each selection for a second or two.
Put in park, reomove the tranny dipstick and wipe off.
Insert and remove dipstick again and check the level.
Add fluid through the dipstick holder if more is needed.
Add the fluid very slowly.

WHEN I ACCELERATE FROM A STOP FELLS LIKE REAR END VIBRATES AROUND 2000 RPM THEN GOES AWAY UNTIL I HIT SPEEDS 75MPH TO 80MPH THEN SOUNDS LIKE A HUMMING NOISE COMING FROM THE REAR. HAD TRANS. REBUILT 9000...

I have seen a posi rear that had regular gear lube put in instead of posi fluid. I had my transfer done on my 99 jeep and about three thousand miles latter I was getting a chatter, found out they check the rear while diagnosing the transfer case, and put reg. fluid in it. Sad thing is I was a repair shop but had an extended warranty on my vehicle so decided to farm it out so if there was a problem it was covered. Big mistake.

Check the differential.

1998 grand am dome light does not go out warning bell goes on when i reach 75 mph

If your dome light is on whether you are go 75mph or not you my want to check your dash light dimmer switch to make sure it is not the cause of the dome light. If not Check you door switches to ensure they are working next check your door latches to make sure they are engaging properly the Bell is possibly a warning of possible passenger loss due to door insecurity
