Question about 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor

1 Answer

Low speed shudder as well

I have a low-speed shudder with my 05 Endeavor as well. it occurs at about 35-40 mph under slight load (slight uphill). the rpm is about 1,400. it does not occur when you accelerate harder through that speed.
I'm thinking fuel filter, but not sure.

Engine is under max load in the situations you describe, so any weakness in spark or low fuel prssure can cause this, even a weak ignition module.

My 2007 1.8 LXI with 80k on the clock has a slight shudder when AT changes from 1st to 2nd gear. It usually occurs under low engine load between 1500 to 2000 rpm. I don't really experience in in other...

The transaxle may needs to be serviced (fluid and screen/filter changes) or it the fluid level may be low. I would also check the CV joints and dust boots, and check for excessive axle play, indicating worn splines and/or transaxle output cups.

Shudder could be the lockup torque converter if it is an automatic transmission. Another one would be the drive axles. Check the CV joints and u-joint in the drivetrain. If the shudder comes and goes with load changes, it could be either. However, to tell if it is the torque converter, watch the tachometer when the shudder occurs. If the RPM rises slightly, then drops off as the shudder stops, it is the torque converter. There is an additive for this issue that can be purchased an any parts store, called shudder-ease. Hope this helps you.

I would check the fuel pressure, sounds like a fuel delivery problem...possible dirty fuel filter. The vibration is probably due to a missfire. Have you had had a tune up lately? Check for vacuum leaks. I hope this helps.

How should i use my awd on my murano 2005? awd lock its that mean that its on and how much speed can i go please sombody

AWD is computer controlled in your 05 Murano. AWD lock is for low speeds under 10 MPH or something like that. I've had my 05 Murano since 05 and never used AWD lock. Between VDC and AWD I've never had any problem getting around. My salesmen told me it was for low speed/towing...I never tow so I've never used it.

I would suspect low fluid pressure, possibly due to a accumulator sticking. This can easy be tested by measuring the line pressure at the transaxle's external test port and performing a road test under the conditions mentioned.
Most transmission shops will test this for a reasonable fee.
Good luck.

My 1994 Nissan pickup brakes shudder at low speed

Inspect the brake rotors for grooving and score marks and also look to see if there are any heat cracks, if there is grooving or very little brake pad material remaining replace the brake pads and also two new rotors, it is also possible that it is just a frozen or stuck brake caliper, this would be indicated by an uneven rotor one that has more metal or meat on one side that the other also uneven brake pads indicates an uneven brake caliper application

I have a low speed shudder that is around 30-40 mph. I have had this occur in the past and changing the transmission fluid makes it go away. I have 160,000 miles on 2004 Endeavor that is just about 6 years...

DO NOT USE ANY OTHER FLUID OTHER THAN MITSUBISHI FLUID!!!! Any other fluid other than Mitsubishi fluid will blow the torque converter these transmission are very picky. Have a COMPLETE fluid tranny flush with Mitsubishi ATF Fluid. If your truck is an AWD that had a recall on the drive shaft, if you have an AWD and did not experience this before you have just been lucky and now had your luck run out at 160K. I would however put my money on the use of non-Mitsubishi transmission fluid.
