Do I need a tranny jack to remove a transmission from a 1997 Nissan Altima?

Yes, it is unsafe any other way. I have seen people get under the car and slide the transmission off onto their chest and legs. It can be done, but not advisable. When fitting you need both hands to get the transmission onto the splines.

Removal of ignition key assembly

This is fairly easy to do if you have the right tools. Wheel puller, socket set, philips and or torx screw driver or long bits.

1. Remove the hazard switch, there is a screw in it.
2 Either pop out the center horn button or remove screws to allow it to come off. (unhook horn connection)
3. There will be a retaining clip over top of the steering wheel nut, take that off.
4 Remove the nut.
5 Attach the wheel puller and snug it up good, and gently tap the column stud with a hammer (will help to loosen it)
6. Once the steering wheel is off, take a second to look over what is there.
7 There should be a lock plate that looks somewhat like a gear. This needs to be compressed for you to be able to remove a thin clip.( either a compression tool or a hammer wedged against your chest) Removing this can be tricky, the best way is to take a medium to smaller flat screw driver and either a scratch awl or an ice pick use the screw driver to put tension on the clip as you get the awl under the clip where it is open gently working the clip back and up and down until it is removed.
VERY Important DO NOT lose the clip.
8. There will be 2-4 screws that holds the turn signal assembly in, once these are out, you should be able to pull on it and pill it up out of the way somewhat.
9. There is 1 screw that holds the ignition in, remove that and slide the ignition out.

Please reply if you have problems and I will be happy to help out.

Is there a special tool needed to take off the crank shaft pulley on a 1990 honda accord

If your having issues removing the crank pulley bolt you can get a special tool from snap on tools. It slides inside the pulley and holds it in place so you can break the bolt loose.Once the bolt is removed the pulley will slide off.

Trouble removeing the fuel filter

You need what's called a "fuel line disconnect tool". It's held in place by a spring, and the tool slides in the opening to release the spring. Harbor freight sells sets of them for about $15.00. Other than that, you would need something to wrap around your fuel line, and slide into the opening to release the spring.

How do you remove a factory stereo from a 2008 ford explorer?

I'm not familiar with that exact model/year but for years ford has had the same setup. To remove the radio requires a special tool that you can purchase from an auto parts store for about $5. There should be a small hole in each corner of the radio, the tool slides into the holes and you'll hear a click letting you know it's in there correctly. Then you pull the tools outward and towards you at the same time and the radio will slide right out. Then it's a matter of unplugging a few connections on the back. To reinstall the radio slides right back in.

FYI- The tools look like two pieces of coat hanger bent into a U.
