Hello! The back up light circuit is stand alone...Power is fed via the back up light switch to both the left and right lamp on a Red/White wire...Ground is fed by a White/Black wire...The back up light switch receives power from a 10 a fuse ( Gauge Fuse) on a Black/Orange wire... So, 12 volts from the gauge fuse on Black/Orange...through the switch on a Red/White to both back up lights...Ground to lights via a White/Black...Using an ohm meter with power off...Set on X10 scale...check the Red/White to ground...It must read open...if you read any resistance on that wire it will blow the fuse...Guru...saailer

I have a 2003 grandprix and the headlights and the back lights and interior light panel don't turn on but when i put the high head lights it turns on but not the back or interior panel lights.

it could be a blown fuse, you may find that the HIGH & LOW beam lights are on separate fuses the back & panel lights could be on the same fuse as the LOW beam or they may have there own fuse, check the fuses in the fuse box........hope this helps......cheers.

I have a 1998 Aurora, my back light do not work. When I press the brake light it comes on but I can't drive at night because I have no back light unless I put on brakes.

Your back light/ dash lights/ license plate light fuse is blown. It is one fuse for all those lights. Replace that fuse.

Added extra set of reverse lights, now have no back up lights or running lights and i need my headlights turned on to use signal lights

Temporarily disconnect your new lights and change the fuse for the running lights as it's likly blown the back up lights are on a separt fuse and you may have blown it also. Your connection to where you added the backup lights is in question as you should have only opened one wire to get your new lights to work. and just hook the other wire from the lights to ground ( any medal body or frame) Put the connections back like they were, and replace the fuses and get all the lights working like they should. the fuse is 2.17 second row of mini fuses third from the bottom in the dashbroad fuse relay center, ( just below the steering collum that cover comes off with 4 push and turn thumb screws and the panel will set aside) the fuse is 15 amp yellow in color ( if it hasn't been changed before and the changing person put in the right size. Your owners manual ( if you can find it) shows this picture that I'm looking at under fuses. The wire for the backup lamps is black with a pink tracer and the fuse for it is the 2.27 fuse yellow 15 amp, the far right collum of fuses forth one down from the top.

1st check the fuses-----then the globes-----check all the fuses some have multiple tasks if you have a test light ,youcan test to see if thre is power on one or both sidesof the fuses with the lightswitch on.if thre is no power there the swich is the next place to checkfor power to those items not working. i cant remember if there is a relay on those ,but look for one
