No, unless you go to the dealer. you can usually, with most car manufacturers, order a new key just provide the VIN and whatever else they ask you for

SOURCE: 07 aston martin db9,failure to launch start engine.

i have a similar problem with my V8 Vantage and have still not been able to find out what is wrong with the car, it first happened around 6 months ago and happened every sort of 3 weeks however now it happens almost every other day.

i have since then checked all the earthing points on the car underneath and they have been cleaned to make sure there is a good contact, i have also fitted a brand new Engine Start Button but still had no luck. I then went and spent almost £250 on a new start motor however the problem is still there.

I turn the key and push the clutch down and when the Engine Start Button turns red nothing happens, there is no noise or anything.. however this never happens in the morning, it only happens after the car has been driven.

Have you had any luck finding out what the problem could be?

Trunk will not open because of a power failure on a db9 2006

I assume by power failure you mean a dead battery?
If so, open bonnet and connect jump cables to +ve terminal at front left hand side of engine bay and the earth cable to the engine mounting taking care not mark the alloy. Allow the battery to charge from the donor vehicle for at least 10 mins before inserting your fob. Take car for a 20min drive to recharge battery. If you need to get to battery for any reason, it lives under the right rear passenger seat. Leather seat is atached with velcro, removing it reveals a cover secured by 10mm bolts, underneath is battery.

I am considering buying a pre-owned Aston Martin Vantage V8 with about 5000 miles on it. Are there any problems with this yr/mdl I should know about before I buy? Also, does it matter if I buy the car from...

because this car is so special i would only buy from a am dealer as they have a reputation to uphold.and aston martin have a code of practice for all there dealers to adhere to.but it is your money!!!simply put this car is not your average ford.....etc.
