Wats the torque setting on the head bolts on a 1995 suzuki grand vitara v6 2l

Install cylinder head to block.
After applying oil to cylinder head bolts, tighten them gradually
as follows.

(1)Tighten all bolts to 53 N.m (5.3 kg-m, 38.5 lb-ft) according to
numerical order in sequence

(2)In the same manner as in (1), tighten them to 84 N.m
(8.4 kg-m, 61.0 lb-ft).

(3) Loosen all bolts until tightening torque is reduced to 0 in reverse
order of tightening.

(4)In the same manner as in (1), tighten them to 53 N.m
(5.3 kg-m, 38.5 lb-ft).

(5) In the same manner as in (1) again, tighten them to specified
torque....105 N.m (10.5 kg-m, 76.0 lb-ft)

This was taken from SQ416 manual from www.suzukinfo.com
I hope this helps.

What is the easiest way for removing torque converter bolts

Use a breaker bar on the crank bolt to hold the crankshaft still while you take the bolts out. Have a friend help if you can or use something to hold the breaker bar against the frame or control arm so it doesn't move when you loosen the bolts.

Crank Main caps Tightening Torque

For the 12 Pointed Head Bearing Cap Sub-Assembly Bolts
Start from center bolts and tighten in a clockwise rotation working out
Step 1 all bolts 22 Nm or 16 ft lb
Step 2 all bolts 44 Nm or 32 ft lb
Step 3 all bolts 45 degrees additional clockwise rotation using an angle indicator.
Step 4 all bolts 45 degrees additional clockwise rotation using an angle indicator.

Hexagon Head Bearing Cap Sub-Assembly Bolts
1ZZ-FE Engine 18.5 Nm (14 ft.lb)
2ZZ-GE Engine 18 Nm (13 ft.lb)

Connecting rod:
1. Apply a light coat of engine oil on the threads and under the heads of the connecting rod cap bolts.
2. Install and alternately tighten the 2 connecting rod cap bolts in several passes. Torque: 1ZZ-FE: 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft. lbs.) 2ZZ-GE: 30 Nm (306 kgf-cm, 22 ft. lbs.) If any of the connecting rod cap bolts does not meet the torque specification, replace the connecting rod cap bolts.
3. Retighten the cap bolts by 90° more
4. Check that the crankshaft turns smoothly.

I need instructions on how to change a crank shaft censor on a 2000 pontiac grand prix gt

3.8L Engines
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the serpentine belt(s) from the crankshaft pulley. Please see Section 1.
  3. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  4. Remove the right front tire assembly. Remove the right inner fender access cover.
  5. A flywheel holding device such as GM's J 37096 is required to keep the crankshaft from turning as the crankshaft balancer is being removed. Install this holding tool or its equivalent. Please see Section 3 for more information.
  6. Using a 28mm socket, remove the crankshaft harmonic balancer retaining bolt. Using special tool J 38197 or equivalent balancer removal tools, drawn the balancer from the end of the crankshaft. Please see Section 3 for more information.
  7. There is a roughly circular aluminum shield that protects the crankshaft position sensor; remove this shield. Use care not to damage it. Do not pry to remove.
  8. Detach the electrical connector from the crankshaft position sensor, remove the attaching bolts and separate the sensor from the engine block face.

Dual Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor removal—3.8L Engines

To install:
  1. Clean all parts well. Position the crankshaft sensor to the block face and tighten the bolts to 14–28 ft. lbs. (20–40 Nm).
  2. Install the crankshaft position sensor shield. Verify that the electrical connector is secure.
  3. Install the crankshaft balancer. Please see Section 3.
  4. Torque the crankshaft balancer center bolt to 110 ft. lbs. (150 Nm), plus an additional 76 degrees.
  5. Install the inner fender access cover and the right front tire assembly. Wheel nut torque is 104 ft. lbs. (140 Nm).
  6. Lower the vehicle.
  7. Install the serpentine belt(s), as outlined in Section 1.
  8. Connect the negative battery cable.

How do I get my spark plugs out of my 2000 Grand Vitara 4X4?

Hi zzsanta,

If it has the 2.0 litre 4 cylinder with direct ignition remove the igniter coil packs by removing the retaining bolts and pulling the igniter upwards to remove it from the plug. Do this for all plugs. Remove the plugs as you would normally (need a long plug tool or an extension). The number three can be tricky because of the strut tower brace, depending on the tools you use. Replace the plugs. It's recommended that you grease the plug boot before replacing. Check an auto shop for suitable grease. Replace the coil packs and tighten the bolts.

Now, I don't know what the torque specs are so before you go and break some bolts, you should find that out.

Hope I've helped, don't forget to rate.
