SOURCE: hi, ive worked with bikes mainly and have replaced

Not much difference replacing the lines and fluids between disk and drum brakes. Huge difference when replaceing the pads. Never force the drum over the pads with a hammer etc. Make sure to take a picture of the assembly before taking it apart when not firmiliar with something. Adjust the brake tension through the site hole once the drum is over the pads.

When doing the disk brakes, make sure that you do not push in the caliper piston at it's edge. Use a C clamp placed dead center on the piston if required. Don't push it in any more than needed.

SOURCE: Is there a conversion kit

Probably best to go to a Toyota car wrecking yard and see what they have.It would have to be the same model engine, and it is a lot to change due to having a computer and associated sensors that would need fitting also.
The Tercel came out with a couple of carbs models. One looked light a bell on its side(copy of a SU type carb),and gave a lot of grief. You can source the conventional type carb and fit as a replacement.
I hope this helps you.

1988 pick up rear brake one side locking up

If you have disc brakes the caliper is sticking. If drum brakes, your pads are bad or you have a wheel cylinder locking up or a bad spring.

Chevy cobalt Brakes - Rear Drum

It would be a straight forward swap if you can find a car that shares the same chassis as yours with disc brakes on the rear (no cutting or welding) I think that the cobalt ss or the pontiac g6 gt have disc brakes that will bolt right on
