Excessive rpms, water in combustion chamber causing hydraulic lock ( bends rods , cranks )
sudden stopping of the crank ( debris in the jet water pump)

Improper oil mixture (injection problem. Over heating. Very lean condition. Excessive rpm. Inspection after teardown should should give you a good idea of the cause.
