Check that the filler cap vent is not blocked, causing a vacuum, I have seen tanks sucked up to half their size from this , also check that the pick up tube goes to the bottom of the tank and is not bent or broken.

How to compute kilometers per litre

You would fill up the vehicle, then divide the mileage traveled by the amount of fuel it took to fill the tank again.
So assuming you filled the tank each time, you would divide 609km by 100.4 ltr which is .1648 or 16.49 L/100km
Thats about 40 mpg.

2001 3 door sports Auto Grand Vitara excessive fuel useage 150000klms good cond

Hi.....Daz...... what do you call excessive? Two things........ firstly you must make sure your vehicle is in optimum running condition, so you need to check and renew if required, things like air and fuel filters, plugs, check spark plug hi tension leads, coils and wiring harnesses, timing, injectors , engine management systems....... checking also for fuel leaks around pipes and unions and the tank. If all ok, then you must carry out a controlled fuel consumption check. fill your tank brimm full......note the mileage and drive the vehicle normally, do not make an effort to drive economicly, drive as you would daily for a couple hundred kms, return to tha same garage and same pump, brim the tank and note the mileage and litres filled and do a calculation of how many kms per litre... I think you might be surprised........... bear in mind that the vehicle has done in excess of 150000 k and as the engine gets older will loose some fuel efficciency..... its called wear and tear..... hope this helps.... Wont run in gear. sat for a year and a 1/2 over weedy gravel with a 1/4 tank of gas, filled to half and drove on highway for an hour with only problem some engine misses under 40 km/h. did oil change,...

When stored outdoors for any length of time, you can get a substantial amount of condensation to form inside the fuel tank (as much as a half gallon) It will remain at the bottom of the tank and really mess with how it runs. Check fuel filter...Pour contents into a clean glass jar...If any water is found at all, you can bet there is quite a bit in the tank.

Ford focus 1800 lx 2001 lpg

You will need to look on the tag on the tank its near the service valve should be riveted to service valve/ fuel gauge cover.the tag/plate will have retest date, model, serial number and important to you is whats known as water capacity,WC .what ever the water capacity figure is minus about12 litres and that is the lpg capacity. You could run it very close to empty and see how much it takes to fill it up.
