Peugeot 508 RXH: I cannot lock the car with the remote. The doors lock, but unlock again. The car detects open doors correctly. I can lock the doors with the dashboard button.

If you have 2 remotes does it do the same thing with both of them?
I/We have a Honda FRV and if you set the alarm from outside the car ....which locks the doors ...and the doors are opened from the inside, (yes I have set the alarm whilst still in the car,) this unlocks the doors as the drivers door has the master central locking switch on it. If I close the door withing a few seconds the alarm reactivates itself and the doors relock automatically
Presumably when your doors unlock the alarm is disarmed? Maybe your issue is linked to the receiver in the security system?

There is a difference, presumably, between you locking the doors from the dash as opposed to doing it from the remote control, the security system is not armed in the former, only the doors are locked +

GOOD LUCK

On my 1999 Peugeot 206 central locking is bouncing back up. Why can't I lock it manually?

Try checking the tailgate allignement / shutting correctly as this will auto open the locking request from your key/bipper, if the boot switch is not fully operated,

When I press the remote on my Peugeot 206 (1998) central

the "unit"is inside the rear door(each door has its own)and the reason 206 didnt come up is this is primarily an American website but as i live in the uk.....you could spray wd40 into the lock mechanism, may be cheaper than replacing reciever.
