Is there a manual trim on a 2006 Cobalt 262?

The power trim is not working on our 2006 Cobalt 262. The engine can be lowered but not raised. Only hear a clicking sound. Is there a manual trim to raise engine? It is on the trailer and cannot move or tow it with engine down.

SOURCE: Antena does not raise: 2002 Sequoia limited

i think at the back of the radio is a blue with white stripe wire that could be labeled power antenna. test it if it has a 12 v positive as you turn the radio on. if there is, then the problem is in the antenna. if there is none then the problem is in the radio. there could be a fuse at the wire as it comes out of the radio to the antenna.

i hope i was able to solve your problem. please rate me. tnx. drcool299

SOURCE: Can I raise power window manually?

No, the motor will provide too much resistance. I suggest a sheet of clear plastic & duct tape until you can get it fixed. Sorry.

SOURCE: The convertible top will not go up or down,

There are 2 hydrolic rams that raise and lower your roof. You can just disconect them from the top, then manualy raise and lower the top. But it sounds more like your fluid level is low. Open your trunk and find the pump pull the plug and fill the resiorvor.

R&r starter to 2006 cobalt ls

Park your Chevy Cobalt on a level surface, activate the emergency brake and place blocks behind the back tires for safety. Disconnect the negative battery cable with a terminal puller. Raise the front end of the car with a jack for easier access to the starter.
Remove the intercooler pump's outer bracket in models with a 2.0L engine. Place the bolt, and all other nuts and bolts, into the jar for safekeeping until later.
Disconnect the starter electrical connections, including the S-terminal and positive battery cable. Label the wires if you have concern about remembering where they go when you install the new starter.
Unscrew the starter mounting bolts and remove the starter from the vehicle's engine.
Take your malfunctioning starter to the parts store with you. Aftermarket distributors remanufacture most of the starters they sell, so you can likely obtain a partial credit toward your new starter by exchanging your old one. Be sure that you take care not to damage the starter in transit, because the better condition it is in, the more you can get for it.
Purchase a replacement starter that has the same or higher cranking capacity (power rating) as the original starter. Also, match the bolt patterns, drive gears and electrical connections. Your owner's manual may list specifications or the auto parts technician will help you determine them. Download a free owner's manual by registering with the Chevy Owner Center (see Resources).
Install the new starter by reversing the removal process. Torque the starter mounting bolts to 37 foot pounds (50 Nm). Tighten the bolt for the intercooler pump bracket to 15 foot pounds (20 Nm).
Lower your Cobalt back to the ground. Reconnect the negative battery cable. Turn the key in the ignition to see if your new starter motor functions correctly.

I FOUND A SPRING IN MY WINDOW AT THE BOTTOM 2006 COBALT

I have seen a spring on the window regulator which helps raise the window. Don't know about GM products made in the past 10 yrs.
You might look at a regulator at the dealer and see if it has one and if it looks like what you saw.

Where is the oil filter on a 2006 cobalt

Remove oil filler cap and dipstick. Pull up to remove large balck plastic engine cover. Tabs are at rear left and lower front right (facing engine). Large (1-1/16") Black plastic hex cap is cover for oil filter, fron of engine between motor and transfer case. Best to use special tool that fits 3/8" socket extension(about $12 - Search fro Lisle 14700 Wrench) since adjustable wrench doesn't fit well. Replace cartrideg and O-ring, then reinstall in reverse order.

I was driving home tonight and all of sudden I felt something slip in engine and the message engine reduced power came across. The symbol t/c came on also. My check engine light has been on for almost two...

Check the drive belt, and the alternator, most likely if the belt is still on,and it is running on the pulleys ok,then the alternator maybe out, have it checked, with out the alternator working the engine will not perform.

2006 cobalt making weird noise when i accelerate. dont know whats causing this.

it just may be too low of octane in your fuel. does the car require 89 or 93 octain gas? if it requires 93 octain gas and you are pumping 87 octain fuel in it to save money, you may pay for the savings later on. the pinging sound you hear when accellerating is the ignition of the fuel at the improper timing because of the lower octain. this will eventually damage the engine. since you say you hear this when you accellerate tells me that this may be the issue. hopefully this is what it is because it will be easy for you to resolve. hope this helps.
