2010 Mazda 3. I have a clunking noise under the floor on the driver side when I take my foot off the brake and begin to accelerate. What could be causing this? Is it serious?

Struts noise?


I would tend to believe it's more likely a worn sway bar bushing or link if it's a rattle or a small clunk, if it's a loud clunk probably a strut, try bouncing he back of the car when parked, if you get the clunk probably a strut if only when driving,turning,braking probably just a bushing on the sway bar

check your brakes if it feels as if something is dragging a caliper could have fallen or brake pad is stuck or your emergency brake is stuck I suggest looking into your brake system

Brand new mitsubishi asx manual 2wd making a clunking noise in first gear when first started up only?


I have the same noise in my 11 ASX..all the noise is the brake pad moving in its seat a little . When you back out then brake the pad moves up in the calliper . So when you the go forward it moves back down

Sounds like a vac leak, could be the power brake booster or a hose.

CLUNKING NOISE DRIVERS SIDE ONLY WHEN BRAKING


look under the seat for a bottle under it -

have your front end looked at -
Check your wheels - make sure - 100% that they are not loose by getting out the tire tool and tightening them just a little bit - or a lot if real loose.

Clunking and rattling noise under foot on drivers side when Im driving. When I apply the brake the noise go away. Any ideas?


you have a lose brake caliper either the mounting guides are worn out or the caliper itself is worn also worn shocks weak/bad ball joints and tie rods being worn will cause that!! on a ford
