SOURCE: Transmisson wont engage

MAke sure you filled the fluid to the correct level as the converter may be dry & could give false readings on the dipstick. Is the torque conv attached to the flywheel? Is the shifter linkage connected properly? The speedo sensor has nothing to do with the trans engaging as this is a mechanical issue not a electronic one. Hope it helps.

SOURCE: 94 honda civic cat back replace with no hydraulic lift

I would use floor jacks and jack it up from the back as high as it will go and then set jack stands under it. Its front will drive so you dont have to worry about it rolling just make sure its in park and if its standard make sure its in gear. Be good to block the front wheels also.

SOURCE: clutch will not engage.

You have to bleed the system again they can be a pain in the b@TT, also get a second person to operate the clutch and watch to see if the lever moves, if it does pull off the rubber and make sure you have the Y on the pivot ball inside the transmission. And if you don't get enough throw adjust the clutch rod on the clutch pedal by removing the pin and loosen the lock nut and make it longer by unscrewing the shaft. You want a half inch of free play at the top of the pedal the you want the clutch to catch about 3/4 of the way down. Also if you try to put it in gear does it grind the gears? Also did you put the clutch plate in backwards this is a common mistake even for a pro who gets interrupted by a phone call or a good-looking gal walking by, if ya need more suggestions let me know by posting to this comment.

Just replaced hydraulic clutch line a week ago and as I was leaving today I put it in reverse backed out and then when I went to put in in first I wouldn't go and there was a puddle of fluid that's leaking...

Sounds like the "slave Cylinder is leaking. That is the device which the hydraulic line attaches to on the side of the tranny and acts as an actuator for the clutch mechanism

Where can i get a hydraulic tank

Hi I'm Peter, You can purchase a hydraulic tank many places the problem is what is it for . Is it a replacement tank due to your original being damaged or is it a project you are doing? Is there a leak in the tank? Tanks can be welded a LOT cheaper than buying a new one. With a little more detailed information I can direct you to where you need to go. Are you putting Hydraulics on your vehicle to make it jump or are you replacing the hydraulic tank on a John Deere 310D back hoe? See what I mean . I 'll wait to hear so we can get the correct size or part for your needs.

I was deriving my 88own ford ranger when the line for the hydraulic clutch poped out from the tranny so i shut it off put it in to first gear started it in gear and drove it home with no clutch now its in...

i think this will work, with the clutch perminantly engaged it is difficult to disengage gears, fixing the clutch should make gear chaging better.

Why does my clutch suddenly feel like its slipping on my merc capri xr2 turbo, engaging way to late after release of clutch pedal...hydraulic? mechanical? does it need a simple cable adjustment or flu

If you hit the gas in gear does it slip ? if its hydrolic and low fluid it wouldnt release the clutch you didnt put the year but i would have to go with adjusted at the tranny easy if thats the case also maybe the clutch is gone and theres a chatching point soyou dont mess up the flywheel those are spendy even used it engages the tranny starts the car and most importantly ballances the engine there for removing some metal could throw the balance way off

I did a radick on the transmission iator flush and installed a "T" in one of the heater hoses, while the flush worked for the radiator, I did not notice that the dipstick on the transmission was NOT seated...

There is no simple fix. The water damaged the hydraulic control solenoids and most likely burned the clutches. I am sorry to say it is time for a rebuild.

you need a different tranny because the reverse is a direct gear and is doent engage, the reverse doest work with the drive gear system,so you have a internal mechanical problem in you tranny

Trans still wont engage

If there is no fluid when you take off one of the lines (check both: the cooler might be plugged) while the engine is running, and there is fluid in the trans, then you have a bad pump inside the trans, or the valve body fell off. Either way, it's probably not going to engage. Ever.
